Home services declined the installation.
My 87 year old father was quoted $1,500 for this pump and another $1,500 to install it. It came two days earlier than quoted and took me about three hours to remove the burned out pump and install the new pump. My elderly parents now have water and saved almost $2,700. The new pump runs great 👍.

Good replacement for the Craftman pumps
Almost Identical to the pump it replace except it did not have the extra opening for the line going down to the tank and with the old pump the water flow control valve would stop all water with the new one it would never do so.

Good suction
Used on well that supplies water to house. Water table at depth just on the edge ofbeing pumped with a shallow well pump. Two water lines system made it possible.Pump I replaced was the same but only 3/4 HP. The extra 1/4 HP made a big difference.

Horrible customer support, cost me thousands. STAY AWAY
Contacted support located in Wisc. Spoke with Linda about the pump not staying on for more than a few seconds. She said she was extremely knowledgeable and insisted the venturi at the bottom of the well had to be replaced at a cost of $5500 to me. In addition, she stated the pump would not function without a tank. Lastly, she stated if the voltage was set wrong it would not turn on. All of these are WRONG. The well is over 50 years with the exact same setup. After correctly diagnosing the problem myself after all that expense, the voltage was set incorrectly from the factory and was tripping the internal breaker. Something she should have KNOWN. If that wasn't enough incompetence, the pressure switch was also bad from the factory. When I again contacted CS I was told they don't do warranty and would not send out a replacement switch.I have never dealt with such an ignorant group. Took zero responsibility for the costly wrong diagnosis.Stay away

Great pump, bad set of peripherals.
The pump itself is great. Good power, not too loud, inexpensive, light, and looks sharp. The QA was terrible. The 30/50 cutoff switch never cut even after 65psi was hit. The line to the cutoff switch was burst and leaking before I received it. Replaced with a 40/60 and PE line. The pressure gauge arrived and the plastic 1/2" to 1/4" adapter's threads were already stripped. Had to replace. The pressure regulator is just a cheap piece of plastic that is very finicky when it comes to a slow leak, had to be the perfect tension.Overall, the pump and housing - wonderful. Everything else that's "supposed" to come with, not at all.

Home run
I received this unit when stated. I was able to increase my preasure with this higher output pump and still saved money. No install problems. Very happy.
