Worked for my needs
I ordered this to replace my second remote for my Pioneer. These remotes are no longer available from Pioneer. The only way to access Speaker Set-Up/Output Level, etc. was by use of a remote. There is no button or combination of buttons that can access this on the receiver itself (major disappointment in Pioneer). This remotes works very well for this purpose, and is cheaper than Pioneer's when it was available.

Can’t tell a difference
Haven’t needed to use every button on the remote so I’m not positive every button is flawless. However, every button I’ve needed to use works perfectly.

is not the exact remote for VSX 917v-s
Received it on time and well packaged. When I purchased it I did not have an image of the original. I have not tried it yet because the AVR I bought it for is just sitting on a shelf in my garage. Since buying it I have found the original had a small LCD screen for set up. I do not know if it works yet.

Looks exactly like the factory remote, has all the same functions and works perfectly. Pioneer VSX-519V-K AVR.
The volume button eventually quits working on the factory remotes, so having access to working replacements is invaluable. My Pioneer VSX-519V-K is getting long in the tooth (I've had it for going on ten years now), but everything still works on it so I've had trouble letting it go.This is my 3rd replacement remote because the volume button eventually quits working after about 3 years.

Fake!
It works as basic remote, but it's a fake and most of the buttons don't work. I have to use my old remote to access speaker settings. It was cheap so it's good enough, just be forewarned.

Handy, durable remote
Our receiver remote was going out for years and I found this one. Very durable. We have dropped this one 2 times on our tile doors and it works great and doesn’t even have a scratch. Looks like the one that the receiver originally came with!

Not exact replacement, but good
Works. But this isnt a direct replacement... for my remote.... really close though. Some of the buttons have different labels and arent exact replacements. All in all, it does what I need it to.
