The best beat em up and platformer controller.
The Sega Saturn pad is widely regarded as one of the best pads for fighting games if you don't have an arcade stick. This licensed pad is no exception. Works great on a actual Sega Saturn or Saroo, takes a little bit of time to get it right in things like retroarch but it's worth persevering.Hall sticks feel good, if a little close together.Definitely my go to pad for most games now.

So close to being the perfect retro emulation controller.
So... My honest thoughts on the Retro-bit 2.4GHz Saturn Wireless Pro Controller...**Pros**D-pad is amazing for games that don't support analog sticks.D-pad and 6-button layout is a treat for fighting games, especially the older Sega 16 and 32 bit games. Moves are easier to land with the rolling D-pad Sega was known for.Playing Saturn and Mega Drive/Mega CD games (both emulated) are an absolute delight. Feels really native and they're brilliant.Controller is surprisingly comfortable for what it is. Even wirh the extra ZL & ZR triggers, it's properly nice.**Cons**Sticks are JoyCon sized. Will take some time getting used to. Nice that they're hall-effect though. Reduced chance of the sticks drifting. The C & Z buttons are swapped around with L & R. Z is L, and C is R. Apparently there's nothing Retro-bit can do without causing issues to the controller itself, so you'll have to swap them around so that C is L, and Z is R if you're using the V2 USB dongle. That's when the controller feels right for Mega Drive & Saturn games when emulated.I still wish ZL & ZR was analog. It would have been a joy for Dreamcast, GameCube, and Saturn games that support the 3D Pad. And some racing games take advantage of it too, which here, I can't.Overall Score: 8/10. Really does hurt itself for not having bigger sticks or analog triggers, and having C & Z mapped wrong without mapping changes. It would have been the perfect 3D Pad replacement, and the absolute last word for retro emulation. It seriously excels for what it does and what's its meant to do. It is SO CLOSE to being the perfect controller for retro emulation use and real Sega Saturn hardware use.

A little bit disappointed
I expected more of a controller of this price tag. My main complaints are:- Pairing is not fast. For the Sega Saturn, it paired almost immediately.- For the computer, it paired after a few tries.- For the Switch, I have failed to pair it. And I downloaded the 1st day patch, followed instructions, reset the device... all of it.Also, the materials don't look very sturdy to me.
