This is a well made ABS project box. I really like the metal inserts for the lid screws - far better than the self-tapping screw versions that eventually strip out. The box also came with six lid screws even though only four are needed. I'm also pleased with the nice groove/lip seal and the small cord filler for the groove to improve the seal. There are numerous mounting points in the base. There are also four recessed mounts for securing the box from the backside - these would use self-tapping screws.I had no problem drilling/cutting numerous holes for mounting components inside. This is one of the easier project boxes I've worked with as the material is a good 2 mm thick and holds it's shape well. I was also pleased to find it in an off white color vs common black.My only concern is it would be helpful for standard sizing with these project boxes. I spent over a couple hours trying to find a box the right size for my application. I find it hard to believe that box sizes jump all over the place. I could find a box the right length; but then width or depth wasn't suitable. If found the right width then the length or depth was way larger or smaller than needed. Why aren't these in standard increments like a 3" wide box and then you can select a length in 1/2" increments; or similar argument for depth, etc.Overall a great purchase. I've already knocked the box around a good bit while cutting all the holes as well as in my application where the box is moved place to place. I will definitely check this seller for my next ABS box project. Very pleased!

These are sturdy boxes for whatever use you need them for. They are made of plastic but it's a thick plastic. I used these to mount PTZ security cameras that have a smaller mounting area than the dome or bullet cameras have. I have purchased a different box for mounting security cameras before that were made of a very thin cheap plastic that I was worried that a mounting screw wouldn't hold the camera in place. The person I was putting the cameras up for needed the job done right away and didn't want to wait to return and replace the boxes so I had to cut pieces of wood and put it in the box to hold the screws since the plastic was so thin. THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM WITH THESE. These boxes are thick plastic that I had no doubt that a screw would hold the camera in place. The thickness of the box gives plenty of support for the screw to grip. The boxes are solid and come with a rubber gasket to make the box waterproof. However, I had to cut an opening for the security cameras cords to go into the box and run the connected power cord to run out of. It was cut at the opening of the box so I the opening was just big enough for the cord to fit and not have to be big enough for the ends of the cords to fit through the hole. Placing the opening on the bottom still kept the connections protected from the elements with a smaller opening that a normal junction box pop out hole would have.

I was expecting something a bit thicker and maybe a bit more difficult to work with. At the end of the day, I'm really happy with the J-Box. The top seals, drilling holes for the conduit connectors was a non-issue, though when I started I feared the rigidity of the material was an issue, turns out it's not, and it's large enough to coil all the extra cable I needed.

Light weight it's going to encounter vibration. I'll see how it does

Perfect. Was able to make custom holes to accommodate my project. The box has no pre drilled holes. Nice quality.

Better than i expected. It includes a seal for the lid. There are metal inserts that the screws that secure the top screw into.

The walls of the box are thin, but it does its job. However, the main flaw with this box is that the screws are not stainless steel, and they rusted a lot. After a year of sun and rain, it has been impossible for me to reopen the box. I cannot unscrew the rusted screws. Also, the design of this box makes it ideal for water to accumulate inside the well of the screw.I would not buy it again.
