Goodness me this actually works! Now I am running 2 monitors off a tiny PC running some joke processor like an Atom or something. Like a dog that sings, one marvels that it works at all rather than critiquing the performance. The second monitor is stretching the tiny little processor to it's utmost and it is pretty slow and there are lacunae when, say, watching You Tube, but as I say, I am so staggered to run 2 monitors off a toy PC that I could almost jump for joy.Follow the installation instructions carefully! For some reason mine took ages before it self-installed, but it all happened smoothly in the end.Given the performance off USB3.0, I wouldn't even try it on USB2.0. But Hats Off! to the engineering geniuses who put this together. Damn fine show.

Works as described. Handy tool to have for my surface book.

Managed to eventually this get this to show an image on a monitor but would intermittently flicker. Also many other problems with this device which means it's not a suitable solution:1) Your laptop/PC doesn't see the monitor as a monitor, but streams an image from USB 3.0 to the monitor, this means it lags, flickers and intermittently disconnects.2) Most windows/intel/nvidia features you like using will not work - you cannot toggle resolutions/night-light features/gpu settings for the monitor if it's connected via this cable, Therefore if you have dual monitors (one already connected via HDMI) and want them to both to show a similar aspect ratio or color you will struggle.3) When booting my laptop the device would not automatically work, I would have to disconnect and reconnect it once logged in, which would take 20-30 seconds for it to then register and show a flickering image.If you want to connect USB 3.0 to HDMI and want it to work in a way similar to HDMI to HDMI; this is not the solution for you. I've exhausted most avenues - with my laptop only having one HDMI output and nothing else, I've purchased a laptop with both VGA and HDMI and will purchase a VGA to HDMI adapter as that does not require any third-party poor quality drivers to be installed on my device.

Works brilliantly and easy to install drivers BUT any metal contact points on my laptop that I touch with this plugged in electrocute me mildly.Beware of mild electrocution like static shocks.

Has been working great for months and this solution is also much cheaper than any alternatives I've found.

Decent product. After a similar product failed after a brief use I chose this instead. I will see if it holds up after prolonged use. After some weeks it appears to be a good product.

Total rubbish. Plugged it in to a USB 3.0 port but it will only work in USB 2.0 mode which only gives a resolution of 800x600. Messed with it for 2 days, installing, uninstalling drivers but still no luck. Looks like it works for some folks buy obviously not me. I am an IT professional so should have been easy to figure out. Wasn't!

The adapter works perfectly. The cord could be a bit more flexible or perhaps a bit longer, but this seems to be the current standard in the industry so I did not count that against it.
