OpenII USB C to Micro USB Cable, USB 3.1 Type C to Micro B (Micro USB) for WD my PassPort HDD Hard Disk, 30cm

This type of cable is better known for connecting to external USB hard drives but I actually purchased this cable for a fairly niche requirement... and more for curiosity if it would work more than anything else. I bought a Leap Motion controller several months back which is a device that is capable of tracking your hand and finger movements for being used as a controller in various applications and VR demos.Last time I played with the Leap Motion controller with VR I needed an additional 5m USB extension to connect to a 50cm USB Micro-B cable that plugged into the Leap Motion controller so all these extra cables and joins just made the whole 'tethered to a PC experience' far worse than it already is.Being a VR enthusiast I also own a HTC Vive Pro which actually has a USB Type C connector on the headset itself, underneath the face mask, which acts as a regular USB port for plugging USB Type C devices in such as USB headphones... or... perhaps... a Leap Motion controller!?I was really happy to discover that the Leap Motion controller works perfectly when plugged into the HTC Vive Pro with this cable. However, the clearance is not great from the plug in the headset and when putting the face mask back on it feels like unnecessary pressure being placed on the USB Type C cable and connector. This is due to the moulded stress relief around the cable where it joins the USB Type C plug. I may decide to carefully 'trim' that bit of the plug off with Stanley knife but obviously that voids the warranty on this cable but would put less pressure on the cable and port on the headset.Build quality-wise it's pretty hard to fault this cable. The cable is a decent thickness so it's most likely shielded and the plugs feel secure and robust. My Leap Motion controller is not likely to be pushing the bandwidth boundaries so it's hard for me to test that aspect but various other positive reviews suggest that hard drives work well with it.Pros:- Good value for money- Decent quality, i.e. thick cable and sturdy plugs- Works perfectly with a HTC Vive Pro and Leap Motion controllerCons:- None so far

Does what it says on the tin. My new laptop is USB-C only so bought a couple of these for my external drives. They work fine.

Does what it says, but was slightly damaged, dent and scratches, was refunded and allowed to keep, seemed a fair outcome

My Maxone external hard drive came with a standard USB port cable, and I have a 2017 MacBook Pro, which requires usb-c cables!Purchased this, and it works brilliantly. Very fast when I’m backing up my computer. Seems strong enough to get knocked around in my work back. Highly recommend.

cable kept disconnecting. waste of money. rubbish design. never again.

This is awesome for my harddrive and connecting it to my laptop. I got a new laptop and then thought I'd need a new external hard drive for all my documents but no I just got this cable and it's now maxing out the speed since it'd not limited by normal USB 2 or 3.0

What more can i say it's a lead and it works for connecting my MacBook Pro to an usb HDD.

Bought this cable to go with my LaCie rugged mini hard drive as it’s usb connector and had to use a adapter to go for my MacBook Pro and wasn’t very stable. So bought this cable and all works and powers up it’s slight shorter the the original cable and also feels much more stiffer as well

Ich habe diesen Adapter im Einsatz, um eine 2,5-Zoll-USB-Platte an einem MacBook Air anzuschließen. Das funktioniert einwandfrei und ohne Störungen. Bei dem unendlich vielen Computerzubehör, das auf dem Markt ist, ist das nicht selbstverständlich.Nicht ganz preisgünstig, für mich ist der Preis aber noch akzeptabel.

Ho acquistato questo cavetto USB-C per collegare al mio MacBook Air 2020 i miei due hard disk della WD. Non ho trovato alcuna difficoltà nel collegamento di entrambi i dispositivi (avevo visto dei video in cui, invece, trovavano difficoltà ma proponevano delle soluzioni per risolvere il tutto)! Il cavo è abbastanza rigido a differenza di quelli forniti da WD ma con l'uso si modella in base alle esigenze! Ottima soluzione se non si vuole collegare l'hard disk all'adattatore USB-C - USB o ad un hub, per non perdere in prestazioni!

J'ai récemment acheté un MacBook Pro 2019 et j'ai maintenant besoin de dongles / câbles pour que mes anciens périphériques (notamment mon disque dur externe) fonctionnent avec les ports USB-C de l'ordinateur portable.Ce câble est très pratique car, il me permet de connecter directement le port Micro-B de mon lecteur externe au port USB-C de mon MacBook, sans dongle USB-A vers USB-C.

Es un cable sencillo pero que me ha evitado muchos dolores de cabeza con mi nuevo Macbook Pro, ya que así no tengo que ir con adaptadores raros

Ho sostituito il cavo originale di un WD My Passport e la lunghezza corta è perfetta da tenere nella custodia del disco rigido. Nessun problema da segnalare.
