The "switch" is on the kitchen counter. I use a night light on the lowest setting as it is bright enough. On the setting, it holds the charge all night. It is a also a conversation piece and super easy to turn on and off.

Fun gift. Perfect for a night light. Easy to charge. I would recommend as a gift for those "hard to buy for" friends.

This is a little odd at first when I pulled it out of the box but turns out it's great. You do have to charge it and keep it charged so that's why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. I already have to charge a laptop, phone, tablet, smartwatch, Bluetooth headphones, and portable charger on a routine basis more often than not at my bedside so adding one more thing to remember to keep charged (and to find an outlet to keep it charged) isn't the most ideal of situations. That said, it's super simple to use and creates a nice light that allows you to actually be able to see what you need to be reading or doing without being so blinding that someone else in your room (ie my husband) can't sleep. That's been the biggest challenge with finding a nightstand reading lamp and this definitely lives up to that challenge. It's worth the annoyance of needing to charge it.

This light is so fun and functional. After charging, it was lit all night and kept my kids "safe" from the dark. I like the bright and dim options. The usb charging cord surprised me but is really easy from all our other chargers.

This light is pretty nifty, its simple design beats fumbling looking for the switch and burning your fingers on the bulb like my current bedside lamp. The lamp lasts about 3.5 to 4 hours in medium light (during the day) and a good bit longer in low light settings where you dont need as much. Its bright enough to light my bedroom at night as well as or better than my previous desk lamp. USB charging is pretty convenient as well. A+

I love, love, love this product!!! It's easy to install and use. All you need to do is plug it in and tip the light toward the direction of off or on and it turns on or off. It does not come with the plug but does have the cord. Any usb plug works With it.The light is low and not intrusive.I recieved this product free for my unbiased review.

How great is this?! Such a simple yet clever design. I love the eclectic whimsy! It operates easily on any hard, flat surface. No attached plug means you can put it anywhere; being rechargeable means no batteries. It's so easy to use; it's also a great I idea for a child's room. I can turn it on in a half-awake stupor. It has a bright high setting and a nice, soft (but still effective) low setting. This has become my nightstand lamp.
