Great Little Player - Transfer via USB-C Worked Fine.
I bought this to transfer a special 45+ year old cassette tape to MP3. I was a little concerned because I had not played the tape in at least 40 years and had no idea if it would work or if the player might rip it. The tape played flawlessly and the Audacity software recommended in the link in the box worked perfectly. I connected the unit to my computer via the included USB-C to USB cord and it worked the first time. After I tried part of it the Audacity software was having trouble recognizing the unit again, but I just had to go to the Transport menu and refresh the audio input device. After that it worked great. The sound quality was decent on the built in speaker and excellent on the MP3 transfer. Highly recommended!

The Perfect, Modern Tool for Audio Cassettes
I was working on a video for our church and needed a way to pull some audio off of an old audio cassette. After looking through my options, I settled on the Reshow Portable Walkman Cassette player. After spending some quality time with it, I definitely think I made the right decision. This is a high quality cassette player that feels like it just fell out of 1990, albeit with some modern improvements. To get started, all you need to do is pop a couple of AA batteries in the back and a cassette in the front and you're ready to go. You can hit play and you'll immediately hear sound coming out of the onboard speaker. While the sound out of that speaker isn't going to blow you away, it's loud enough and serviceable. And let's be honest, nobody listens to a Walkman that way anyway. That's what the convenient headphone jack is for. The sound is great for the headphones - or at least, as great as a cassette can offer. And the play, stop, record, etc. buttons all feel nice and solid. To put it simply, it's a great little Walkman. But that's probably not the main reason you're looking at it.You're wondering how well it records audio from cassette to computer. And I can say that it works perfectly. It's got a USB-C output that makes it super easy to hook up to a computer. And it took no work at all for my computer to read it and for me to begin recording onto Adobe Audition. All in all, it was a simple solution. I'd call it the perfect modern tool for audio cassettes, whether you're hoping to record some to a computer or just listen to some old tapes while you go on a jog or do work around the house.

Does what it promises at a very reasonable price
Overall, this tape player does what it promises to do, and it does so at a reasonable price. To digitize cassette tapes, you simply hook this player up to the USB port of a computer and then use Audacity or similar tools to record the digitized audio coming into the computer. If you're familiar with Audacity, it is quite easy to use. For those who haven't used Audacity before, most of the complexity is going to be associated with familiarizing yourself with the software. In my case, I've been using Audacity for years so I didn't need to install it and was already familiar with using it.As for the tape player itself, I'd say that the sound quality is pretty decent for what it is -- wow & flutter are low enough to not be noticeable, and even though the player lacks Dolby noise reduction, hiss seems to be reasonably low, as well. I'd say that the bass is a little thin and I doubt that the frequency response comes close to match the tape decks that I owned back in the days when cassettes ruled the audio scene. But it also cost less than 1/5 what a good tape deck cost back in the eighties. So for the price, I'd say that the audio is good.I would also suggest handling the tape player carefully -- sometimes I have to jiggle a tape to get it to fit properly, and my suspicion is that forcing it could potentially damage the player. It's definitely not as solid as a good tape deck or high end Walkman used to be. But, again, it costs much less than those ever cost. I think that build quality is reasonable for what you're paying. So if you need a tape player for digitizing old cassettes, this product is a good solution.

Great product. Reliable and safe for your cassettes
So far this product has been great and I have zero complaints. Works much better than my cassette player in my Philips boombox which destroyed several of my cassettes. I am now listening to tapes again!!!

Fantastic results, affordable price.
I had a couple of bootleg concert recordings on cassette tape. I no longer had a deck to play them, and wanted to digitize them before the tape gave out. Other options were basically dongles and buying a new deck, so I took the plunge on this device, and I'm glad I did.The build quality reminded me of an old Walkman, only with a rechargeable battery. Zero issues with operation. Playback with the internally housed speaker was minimum, but it worked and was clear, decent on high/mid/lows, and a reasonable volume.Connection to Audacity via the included cable was a snap, and I appreciated the ability to record with a standard 3.5mm output as well. Lossless recording was possible through the included usb-c adapter and Audacity. After a few test recordings to set the levels on the device (very important, don't skip this), I was off. Both recordings came out flawlessly. If you need to save the contents of a cassette tape, this is a fantastic way to do it losslessly. Highly recommended.

I bought this with the purpose of recording a cassette of my dad's music to MP3 for his funeral and it did the job flawlessly. I used Quicktime to record.
