I bought this for my mother in law who recently downsized to an apartment. The smoke detector didn't really look very high tech so I decided to upgrade it. This is a much better option because it does double duty. It's a carbon monoxide detector as well as a smoke alarm. It is very easy to use and was super simple to install. Since it's battery operated, you don't have to worry about being near an outlet and you can hang it almost anywhere. Hopefully, it's never needed, but it gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing that it is there to keep her safe.

I’d never thought I’d review a CO2 / fire detector. Thanks god, we didn’t get to try it in any real situation though. But before purchasing this particular one, I’ve got another one from another brand and it was a nightmare (noisy, too bright, alarmed for no reason). So I can compare and have to leave a review. This one doesn’t make any unneeded sounds, the light is very subtle and unnoticeable. It was easy to install and I haven’t have to wait for my husband to come home, I was able to easily do it myself. I’m planning to buy a few more to change my old ones though out the house. Good quality for a good price!UPDATE: we actually tested it in action! And I ordered 3 more right away. Really worth the money

great and quik to use

I bought 2 of these, 1 for the house, and 1 for the detached garage. Initially they seemed to work OK, but then, a month ago, the house alarm started beeping with increasing frequency so I replaced the batteries after only 9 months. That stopped the beeping, but every so often the alarm makes odd crackling noises, so I'm not sure it is still functional. About 2 weeks after the house alarm failed, the garage alarm started beeping. I just took it down. I believe it is the CO monitor that is failing because, when they are beeping, the CO readings are high even when there is no possible CO souce around, and the readings return to 0 when the batteries are changed. Brand new duracells were used every time. I would not trust these and am searching for replacement alarms from another manufacturer right now.

I bought this smoker detector to replace my old one that can only detect smoke. It was designed well and easy to install. Will recommend for safety at home.

The only gripe I have is inserting the toggle bolts! I can never get them in so moreless ruin the plastic ones and just used the screws. I hope it stays in place when I change the batteries?

I bought a new camper in 2022, I thought that that it was equipped with smoke and CO detectors, turns out it was only smoke, (thank you for your concern, forest river) instead of changing batteries, I changed detectors. Took about 5 minutes.

The smoke detector is quite well-made. It is operated by 3 AA batteries, so I'm expecting it to be having a long service life. It also looks decent and can be placed at any place at home. The nails are also included in the box.
