I'm a believer.
I got the cheapest click & lock floor at lowes. The reviews for the floor said it was good floor but a pain to install and needed a professional block with a graduated lip or it would crush and tongue. I had one of these blocks but when I went to install realized that it hadn't been retuned by the last person that borrowed it, he is now dead to me BTW don't mess with my tools! So I ordered this one, got it in two days, was very skeptial because its a solid block with no cutout for the tongue. But since I didn't have time to reorder I gave it a shot and it worked beautifully. I didn't have a single crushed tongue and this was really cheap flooring so it could easily have been a very long day filled with lots of swear words and ruined boards but we were able to get 300 sq ft down in 1/2 a day with no waste.

Quality product for the job.
We used this to install wood laminate flooring in our house. This worked great. With a little common sense and understanding how the floors work it should be a easy install. Better than the cheaper ones by far.

Good for a job here or there
I am giving it 3 stars because it does do what it's meant to do. It's poor quality, I'm a contractor and I do alot of laminate floors. I have owned this for 6 months now and it's getting too beat up to use and the handle is breaking off.

Great tapping block with cheap screws
Good product but has one fault. After only a few hours the screws that hold the handle came loose and had to be replaced. After I replaced the screws the handle stayed in place. Mfg must be using cheap screws or the wrong screws. The block itself is made of good material and after using it for an entire house being floored, it is still in good shape.

well worth every penny
It was more than worth it to get the flooring tools.. I didn't buy a package because individual pieces looked better and it so so so paid for itself!! The handle on this was worth every penny!! The length was great. When I bought these - prior to installing... everyone told me to return them.. I decided to wait and if we didn't use then I would send then back.. well lo and behold we used it for the entire installation and it made life so much easier and better. This is the second floor we installed.. we will install more in the future so ask my floor tools have their own sterlite tub in the storage shed - the QEP 10-18-8 3-Inch Pro Pull Bar, this beauty the Cal-Flor TB72200 Professional Grade Tapping Block with Handle, and the Cal-Flor SP73107CF spacers which I highly recommend over buying the set of flooring tools. It costs about twice as much to but it all individually.. but it is worth every penny! Thanks :-)

One Star
Screws sheared off with the first whack. Replaced screws with heavier gauge , works well now.

Great block, just not durable at all
Ordered this and it really works great. Really great, the reason for two stars is it isn't durable. Just ordered my 2nd one after 600 sf as it was so chewed up that it cut one of my men's finger tip off with plastic shavings. (know that sounds like a fish tale but is true). The handle became really loose as well. Terrific concept awful execution. Ergonomically it is incredible. Is still head and shoulders above the little rectangle ones in the little kits that everyone buys.

Must-have for flooring projects!
Excellent tool. Used this tons to complete over 1100 sq ft of LVP floating floor. Highly recommended. A bit pricey, but well worth it compared to the cheap products at home improvement stores!
