"APPEALING TO YOUNG READERS, INSPIRING, AND EDUCATIONAL!"
Although I have a huge collection of books on John F. Kennedy over the last 25 years, this is the first book that I researched, that is quite appealing for young readers. The reading level is for Grade 5, and is also appealing to 3rd-4th Graders. This fascinating book on the life of JFK is easy-to-read, with inviting illustrations, which compliment the intriguing story. My daughter, a learning disability, found interest in this book and was able to understand much more about the life of JFK, without becoming distracted or frustrated throughout the reading.Grace Norwich delivers another fascinating, interesting story in her Biography Series, on the life of JFK, who became president of the U.S. in 1961. The Introduction tells about the motivation, and inspiration that JFK shared with the people. The author includes a Timeline of the Kennedy family and other important political figures such as, Martin Luther King, JR, and Richard Nixon. The reader learns a great deal about John F. Kennedy's childhood, right up to his term as president and the tragedy of his life that followed on November 22, 1963, the day that shocked America. Grace Norwich includes information on life in the White House, 10 Things You Should Know About JFK, and the many challenges JFK had to face. The author includes: Places To Visit, A Glossary, and 10 More Things That Are pretty Cool To Know. This book is an excellent resource for young readers to learn about history, and important political events. Interesting, inspiring, and educational. Highly recommended to young readers, teachers, and parents!

I feel that the who was series is so much better than these books! They describe the person a million times better. If you also hated the book, you should also try the who was series.
