I don’t think I’d trust this device as being very accurate in detecting hidden devices. I have a lot of cameras around my house and even in the dark while standing right next to more than one nothing picks up.

The One-Mi camera detector arrived in good packaging and its supposed set up was easy enough.That is where the fun ends. A variety of attempts to locate camera lenses or for that matter anything shiny were an utter failure. The IR light was indeed working, we tested that, but….what exactly this was supposed to detect, on its own, without human intervention actually fails me to understand.I should add that I might well be misreading the instructions….perhaps…so will give this another chance sometime after I install more cameras for it to "detect." For right now, given its price point, the rating stays at 2 stars - my "don't bother" rating.Rating : 5 stars! In today's mad world you can't trust just staying in a motel or casino anymore and I recommend this for any traveler.

The instruction booklet that came with this is so tiny, I actually had to take photos of them and then zoomed to be able to read them.When you first turn it on, you will be greeted by the Chinese language, but pressing the bottom button changes it to English.It beeps when near windows. The instruction claims that windows are made of aluminum alloy that can act as antenna loops and have good signal reception capabilities...I actually don't get it.I requested an exchange for the exact item because the one I received was faulty. When charging it is supposed to display battery status. I get none.I have cameras set all around my house. At one point, this detected ONE camera. Then it didn't detect the same camera later on.So, I am not sure if the whole thing was faulty to begin with, not just the charging issue. I will update this when I receive the replacement.

I'm not sure if this is working properly or not. The manual is so hard to read (need a magnifying glass), that it's difficult to figure out how to use the device. The camera detector doesn't make any sound, so I'm not sure if it's actually detecting anything. I think you're supposed to turn off the lights and scan the room for possible IR signals/light, but I'm not sure if I'm seeing anything. I tested it with a webcam that's actively recording but nothing happens to this detector. Maybe it's working, maybe it's not.The signal detector on the other hand seems to be working as you'll hear audible sound and can visually see the signal strength. LED light is working too. If you're looking for a hidden camera detector, I would suggest looking for one with some sort of audible alert.

I am so paranoid when it comes to sleeping over places and wondering if there are little cameras everywhere. Watching me. So far I guess this works? I haven't found one yet, so I can only hope so! It's easy to use and while I cannot verify that it is 100 percent accurate, it does give me some peace of mind.

I got this on a whim because I like to play with gadgets. So, good things first, it was able to detect my smartphone recording, but not easily. I was moving it all around and finally triggered it. So that was neat. The unfortunate part is that this starts in Chinese, the instructions are not clear, and I found that you would have to put serious effort into it, to find a hidden camera. I don't find this device reliable enough to use as a serious product. Buy this only if you like to play with gadgets like me.

I got this and it's in Chinese. It came with a manual that doesn't apparently cover this...ahem..."feature". It lists things in the manual like the "power button", but it has 2 buttons and they aren't marked. Nothing in the maunaul about changing the default language, either. As I can't read nor understand it, I really can't use it. I gave it 2 stars because, if you're Chinese, you might be able to use it.
