MOOZ - 3D Printer 3 in 1 Industrial Grade Transformable Metallic, Support CNC and Laser Engraving, Free PLA Filament, Protective Case and Goggle, Auto-Calibration, Assemble Easily

I am a kickstarter back of this product. After long wait, I got it in a well-packed package. After I opened the package, it took me some time to get familiar with the operations. The complete Chinese-English documents and video tutorials on YouTube surely helped me a lot. Later I even found there is a dedicated community of DOBOT MOOZ on Facebook for 3D printing enthusiasts to communicate with each other. And of course, I requested to join the group and got accepted. I found that lots of active backers are sharing their thoughts and experiences and uploading video tutorials that are extremely helpful for beginners. I used the 3D printer unit regularly, it always give me a satisfied result. I did not try the laser and CNC yet, but I will try them later. Overall, it is a good product with the unique design.

We tried personally for several days and then hired experts and cannot get this product to work. We got the laser on but could not control it. The other functions we couldn’t even get one.

First the good thing. The hardware of the printer is solid. It is very easy to assemble, despite the instruction is written in poor english.The biggest issue is the (non-existent) service. The item I received had a ripped screw hole on the heater bed. It is clearly a quality-control failure. I contacted the manufacture about the issue, but three weeks later, all I got back has been silence. The printer is still barely usable, as I am quite experienced with 3d printers and find another way to attach the bed.Overall I wouldn't recommend this printer, especially for new 3d printer users.

EDIT: After my original review, Dobot reached out to me and asked for a second chance. They sent me a new MOOZ 2, and it’s been a much more positive experience. The machine was in working order after assembly out of the box, and the few problems I have had have been addressed almost immediately buy the support staff. And a little while, I will update with the quality of all three modules. So far, it’s pretty amazingORIGINAL: As a fixer/maker type of person, it didn’t bother me as much as most when I received my MOOZ 2 with no functionality. The assembly was pretty straight-forward, everything fit together like it showed in the instructions, but there was no interface software loaded on the included touchscreen. Okay, that’s fine, I should be able to talk to it with the USB connection.... nope, no luck. My computer recognized that SOMETHING was plugged into that jack, but good luck figuring it out what was.We emailed tech support. We sent them a message on Facebook. We posted in the forum. We tried the fixes that appeared to work with other people - loading new firmware from a FAT32 formatted thumb drive - none of which was successful. As of now, over a week after messaging Dobot tech support but first time, I haven’t heard from anyone at all on any channel.For what this machine is and for the price, maybe it’s worth it to dink around for hours on end, or even wait for a replacement. For our purposes, even the time and headache invested trying to figure out what should be fairly easy was a major issue. If tech support had gotten back with me and helped me figure out what was really going on it with it, even if it turned out to be a bad build, I probably would have asked for a replacement instead of a refund. As it stands, I’m going to be purchasing three different machines to replace this one in my workshop, but only from companies that have a faster response time than “never.” I have zero issue with Chinese companies - I’ve worked with and for them for many years - but if you’re doing business in a country, please prepare to support your customers in that country.

Excellent printer, strong and impressive print quality, the tool kit for cnc and laser make this printer the ideal ally for all from rookie to expert entrepreneurs. It is undoubtedly one of the best printers on the market.

So far the mooz-2 has delivered what it advertised. The only hiccup i encountered is the un-updated documentation. If you are not a tinker you can hardly operate much less assemble the thing to work properly.Below are the assy and testing has been done and so far the only issue i encountered is related to safety as i experienced bad cut from the sharp drill bit. By the way assembly is very straight forward, everything's up in an hour> 3D Printer Module- took time to figure out the online printing with Cura slicer, but offline so far so good for the sample files provided by mooz from their website. Right now i can print online but preferred offline method> Laser Engraver Module- so far it printed fine with the sample gcode file from dobot website. Had tried printing my own created gcode file, it's not the best as expected but it can be further improve with parameter optimization maybe using other program besides MoozStudio. Also the laser is dangerous to the eyes do not look at it directly I view it using the included goggles or indirectly through the video from my smartphone that way the laser kida diffused once it passed over the smartphone video processing.> CNC Module- it's straight forward but safety shall be paramount when installing and setting up the assembly. Regarding the quality of the output, i guess using wood a hard wood maybe is recommended or maybe because the output is not what i expected, it can be further optimized.

Assembly instructions was easy. Other than that setting up to print and software has minimal instructions. It's not something recommended for beginners. Too complicated for my son so I had to return it.
