So much love for this anime!
I love this anime and so do my friends and family the moment i got them to watch it. I had previously seen the japanese dubbing with english subtitles but the scenes move so fast the characters talk so quickly it was a case of pause and read a page of subtitles play and then pause again. The english dubbing on this DVD is excellent and enjoyable. The voices, in my opinion, have been perfectly cast, if you're like me and love knowing about the voice actors you might end up fangirling as Todd Haberkorn (voice of Death the Kid, Kimihiro Watanuki, Hikaru Hitachiin, Natsu Dragneel and Tsukune Aono) stars as the excitable pasta loving North Italy. A personal favourite being J Michael Tatum (voice of Sebastian Michaelis, Jiro Machizuki, Shizuka Doumeki,Kyoya Otori and Scar) voices the flirtatious, fabulous and all around blonde bombshell France. This DVD contains epsodes 28-52 on average I'd say episodes are about 4 minutes long some shorter some longer so the entire series can be watched in about the same time it would take to watch a movie.Extras include:- Audio Commentaries on episodes 31, 36, 42, 46 (which is basically english voice actors having a laugh and joking together)- Director Bob Shirahara Talks with Japanese voice actors (subtitles included) Atsushi Kosaka (Prussia), Aki Kanada (Chibi Italy) & Daisuke Namikawa (Italy)- Atsushi Kosaka (Prussia) Commemerates the Announcement of the Hetalia Movie (again with subtitles)- Textless Closing SongIn series two, while the main focus is still on the Allies (America, Britain, France, Russia and China) and the Axis (Germany, Italy and Japan) we're also given the joy of meeting even more countries than before.Personal Favourites being the three Baltic States (Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia, who are servants to Russia and not by choice, poor things) Russia's sisters (Belarus, the younger sister but she is crazy and scary to the point she even frightens Russia, and Ukraine, the older "busty" sister who spends her time farming and dealing with a sore back due to her massive chest), even Canada gets some screen time but his character goes unnoticed by the other characters unless its soemone angery and misaking him for America. An excellent series, I suggest watching series one first, it helps you to get to know the characters/countries more fluently so that when historical refernces are being made, however loosely it may be, you dont need to think to hard remembering what country is being represented.Excellent humour, you may need to watch it a few times just to take everything in, the series does move quite fast, even now I am watching hetalia and picking up bits of the script i'd missed before, whether its a joke i didnt pick up the first few times or being able to understand italy through is 'Mario-like' accent.

Season Two
This disc contains the twenty-six episodes of the brilliant `Axis Powers Hetalia' second season. The series continues to be very funny and although some people may find some parts slightly offensive, it really shouldn't be taken seriously. This season sees a bit more fleshing out of some of the countries other than the eight main countries with Canada, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and Belarus making some good appearances, Belarus in particular is a favourite of mine. This season also includes a number of Christmas episodes that are also quite funny. As with the previous season, there is some difference between the English and Japanese dub, both of which are included on the disc, but I still prefer the English dub, which can be very funny in places, especially the narrator.

HETALIA!
/so happyI'm buying all the Hetalia DVDs. Now that Season 5 (The Beautiful World) is airing, I'll need that too =DAbsolutely ZERO, NIL, ZILCH, NADA problems. Just order it and watch (repeatedly like I do. Quality is great, sound is great, everything is great! And it's so funny and also informative - because you remember historical events in the amusing way that they're told here)

Very good
This DVD is very enjoyable and funny. While it has its offensive parts (which is to be expected, seeing as the characters are based on stereotypes) it is not meant to be taken seriously and it is a comedy. I really liked it, and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

REALLY GOOD.
The dub just makes this show better. I know most people are sort of like, 'I refuse to watch anything that isn't in subs' but Hetalia is something you can enjoy in both. Really funny.Item arrived quickly and in great condition.

Not one for your grandparents!
I attempted to show this to my Grandparents, who not only didn't understand a word of it, but also did not find the 'France and the Olympics' episode very amusing at all. :PIf you are not easily offended, and are not crazily protective over your country, then this Anime is one for you! Packed full of hilarious moments and very nice artwork, these 5 minute episodes will have you giggling in your next History or languages class. This series starts to focus a little less of Germany, Italy and Japan, and more on some of the lesser characters, who had not been properly introduced in the previous series.Chibitalia is always amusing, and can actually be quite sad in parts. It seems to be more geared towards five year olds, rather than the '12' rating on the box.On a slightly negative point here, having the little theme tune and credits popping up every five minutes is very irritating, but luckily each chapter is a new episode, so you can skip the credits at the end of each episode. If you're not offended by the hints of innocent love between quite a few male characters, there's nothing other than it being hinted at in places, and are looking for a short, humorous anime, then I strongly recommend this to you!

I love Hetalia
Hetalia has been my favorite anime/manga/web comic since day one in 2006 when the web comic first aired online. I love the disk set it shows all my favorite guys and girls with there silly antics and world history facts. The pack came in great condition with 2 disks a episode disk and a extras disk. I love how the episode disk has extras on it and then you get a whole nother disk od extras to go with it wow. As much as people say Hetalia is bad I love it and don't take it offensive. Ha what am I kidding nothing offends me and I don't even remember ever saying that word my whole life to. This is great for collectors and lovers kf anime/world history and people who have a great sense of humor that and don't get offended by stuff. 1000 out of ten

History has never been the same.
The second season is pretty much like the first season in the packaging. It has the cover for the plastic CD case. There really isn't much of a different other than the pictures which isn't much of a problem since I love the way they package the CD.Like the first season, this one also has the option to change to the subbed version rather than dubbed. Even if you don't like the dubbed version, I recommend just watching it to see what's different because some of the script was changed. If you've ever watched Hetalia, you would know that it's only about 5 minutes long and the ending song is probably 30 seconds of it. At the end of the song, a lot of the times they have a little clip but it's annoying to fast forward to it every time or listen to the whole song. Fortunately, Funimation did us a favor and let the "Next" button ONLY skip the song and not the whole episode. However, the beginning of Hetalia with the short opening scene is also rather bothersome and can't be skipped but at least it's only about 5 seconds long.
