Got this for an African grey and its one of the best toys he's had. I put it by his window perch where he hangs out during the day and from the moment I put it up its kept him busy. He gets a few of the bits out with some precision work but when he gets one he cant manage he gets on top of it, turns it on its side and shakes the hell out of it sending stuff everywhere.Toys have to be put back in regularly and he's chewed some to bits, they are small enough and easily mangled so I was glad I got the replacements too which were cheap enough. I usually put a couple grapes and a few monkey nuts in there too to give him a little reward for his efforts. Even when they pieces run low there's always something to stick in there to keep him interested.For the price, the amount of entertainment gotten out of it and the versatility of it considering you can put anything in there, its tough enough to last a long time so you'll have it for ages its simply brilliant.

As parrots owners we know not to buy cheap toys for our birds , i bought this one to replace a similar toy that hung in his cage.It looks well made with no sharp edges and the wooden blocks inside are various sizes some fall out easy and others dont so he will probably end up with only the difficult blocks in it eventually.I've not hung it in his cage yet until he is fully familiar with it he will only growl at it if I do so at the moment its left on the carpet.I'm not an expert in parrot toys but to me its really well made and of a good size im really pleased I bought it im sure he will be hanging from it in his cage whilst attacking it in no time.

Timbo, my African Grey is very clever using his new toy. He tried and succeeded to remove the wooden balls and rectangles out of the container. It stimulates and enjoys him. As it makes quite a bit of noise when he is playing with it, my Dachshound is leaving the room till it is quiet again. But the most important thing is that Timbo never gets bored.

Got this toy for our 10 months old African Grey. From the next day we received the parcel it is her favorite toy in the cage!!! At the beginning she was more biting the plastic of the chest swinging on it so some pieces fell themselves down, but now she is focused on pulling out them from the holes and manages to do so as you can see some of them are on the bottom of the cage. Keeps her busy all day. Totally worth of buying. And she doesn't go for the fallen pieces to destroy them as getting them out of the chest is more interesting. So will entertain her for loooong time. And I wouldn't say that the chest opens easily as it is written in some other comments... but maybe because our parrot is young :)

I bought this toy for my 1 year old African Grey, and he loves it. As I write this he is happily playing with it . He is obviously fascinated with it, and occasionally he angrily attacks it when he cannot remove the wooden blocks. It is making him think about how to remove the blocks and this is plainly good for his cognitive functioning.The plastic box is of an excellent quality, and should withstand many a concerted attack. The chain is thick and easily bears the weight of the box and parrot. The wooden blocks, once removed , do not last long but that is true of all such things. Once he finally removes them all replacements may be ordered, or the box could be filled with other objects. All in all I think that this toy should provide many a happy hour of fun and thought for any parrot.I have no hesitation in awarding the toy a top score of 5 stars, and would recommend it to parrot owners everywhere.

My parrot has not touched the toy yet.But it is strong and worth the money.

Bought this for my Military Macaw who destroys everything in seconds!! Weeks later and much to his disgust and constant efforts, it is still completely in tact!! Was amazed at the size!!
