I had my nails dipped at the salon. They felt heavy and began lifting after the first week. They also damaged my nails which surprised me because I was told dip is the least damaging.I bought this kit because the salon wasn't for me. This was my first time and it was so easy and quick. It probably helped that I had mine done professionally and I was able to watch and learn. It comes with instructions, which were simple. The first layer was the more pink color and the second layer was the glitter. I did not do a third layer.I cannot comment on the longevity, but I will say my nails are split, peeled, cracked, and disgusting under this dip and you cannot tell. They're nice and hard and strong so I won't worry about the splits and cracks ripping my nail off, literally.I bought a drill and cleaned up any mess. It made the skin around my nails smooth. So, definitely get a drill if you don't have one. I put cuticle oil on and some lotion for aftercare.

Takes some practice, but love it!
I can't justify spending so much money at the nail salon, so when I came across this kit I was sold! Very easy to use, but definitely will take some practice to perfect it. Kit comes with everything you need. I don't understand what the "0 Bond" does, so I did not use that the first time. The colors are nice and the top coat really shines. The containers of powder are small but should last a few applications. I would order again in other colors!

I've been dabbling in doing nails for a while. I've watched hundreds of videos and used the kiss dip before once. This was easy, minimal filing needed to be done and it looks great in my opinion. I'll be buying all the color sets. The top gel takes a little bit to dry so I messed it up when I was learning that fact, so keep it in mind. Otherwise, incident free.

The top coat is so bad that I'm coming up with conspiracy theories
Update: after cooling down from my very frustrating first experience with this kit I tried again with a gel topcoat. It worked great so I'm updating my review to 3 stars. Good base, activator, and powder (though the colors don't quite match the picture), terrible topcoat. My original attempt lasted less than a week before it started chipping, and normally gel nails last ~2 weeks for me.Original review:This kit was okay until I got to the top coat. The base and activator seemed pretty similar to the dip nails you get done at a salon, so I had a lot of hope. But the top coat is absolutely criminal. Firstly, it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to dry. Don't listen to the 60 seconds in the instructions. You will mess it up. And it turns out, if you screw it up, it's very hard to fix. I had to sand down to the activator layer and re apply a coat of base, powder, and activator to get a second chance because if I sanded and applied top coat right away, it came out rough. Even after I learned this, it still was challenging to get a decent finish. Unlike with regular topcoat, it doesn't really fill in imperfections. If you get it on your fingers, it burns like crazy. It's somehow the worst of all worlds: Despite its long drying time, it completely solidifies on the brush rather quickly. After hours of pain and effort, my nails still are a little lumpy and weird. I don't expect them to hold up. This experience was so bad that I'm convinced that this top coat was developed by nail technicians who want to keep us paying $60 for dip nails every two weeks. I'll try with a different top coat next time but this was such a frustrating experience that I would not recommend this kit to anyone. Also, the colors don't match the picture. I sincerely hope I got a bad batch.
