AQA A Level Biology Year 1 and AS Student Book (Collins AQA A Level Science)

Really like the book, it is a great book to get a head start for your A level Biology course. Highly recommended. It is very detailed hence can be used throughout the year course as an excellent student guide. A great book to look over the summer just to get to know the stuff you’ll be doing in future.

By far the best AS A level book I've owned.All it's contents relates to almost all of the curriculum on my course with an easy to read layout, diagrams, equations and explanations.

Extremely waffly , poor quality explanations. A lot of irrelevant information and not nearly enough detail on important things. Completely useless.

Personally, I really like these books. I find them useful in helping me understand everything about a topic rather than just the key points. PLEASE note that if you are looking for just the key points, THIS IS MAY NOT THE BOOK FOR YOU. Note that this is a STUDENT GUIDE that's supposed to be used as a companion throughout the year and NOT JUST as a SUMMARY REVISION GUIDE for quick revision before an exam i.e. like the revision guide by CPG. That being said, the book contains many practice questions and several pages dedicated to the AQA required practicals too.
