Not so understanding
The calculator came with AA battery as an extra source of power (daylight and strong and continuous lamp light gets it to work). If we turn lamp off, the calculation we've been making will erase if we don't have battery inserted as backup. This calculator looks nice and has large buttons, easy to press. Most of the buttons are explained on the mini instruction but the function of the slider buttons I had to find out by myself. I managed to find out what for is the 'ADDS 4320F' slider. It adds zeros after the dot, as my image shows. So instead we type 3000 x 12, we just put 3x12 with function 3 on the slider and this will make 36.000. And so on. But I still don't know what for is the other slider function. Arrow up 5/4 and arrow down. It doesn't do anything in my opinion...I'm not bothered as I'm not going to use that button any way. The all others, which I know what for they are, I'll be using so I'm satisfied with this calculator at the moment. It's good quality and good value for money. Can recommend it.

A calculator with a back button!!!!!!! Game changer
Love this calculator. Be warned, it's large but once I got one at work I then replaced my one at home. I work in accounts and this is a great desk calculator. And it has a back button. Game changer. No longer starting a calculation again because you hit the wrong button.

Intuitive to use office staple ideal for those with bad eyesight or arthritis
My partner suffers from an eye condition that affects her sight as well as arthritis in her fingers - just her luck that she has a job involving detailed figure checking which requires copious use of a calculator. With only small versions supplied for work spotting this Bimormat™ Desktop Calculator featuring large buttons and a large and clear LCD screen when offered for review under the Amazon Vine programme the calculator looked just the thing to make her life a little easier - and it does. Powered by both solar cell and a backup AA battery that is supplied in case you are working in dull light that's a nice dual touch. The buttons operate quickly, smoothly and positively with a satisfying click showing the push has registered, showing up to 12 figures on the display. With her arthritic fingers they are easy for her to operate, with the buttons featuring smooth, rounded edges and well spaced rather than close together which assists anyone with proprioception issues, and which I think is a big plus. Each button is easy to select thanks to a very clear symbol, whilst the LED screen is tilted at a well considered angle. The calculator has a full set of memory functions to aid long, complex calculations as well as percentage and square root functions, and a slider control allowing you to set the required number of decimal places to display. There's also a 'back' button if you make a keying mistake, the equivalent of 'undo' in many computer packages which I thought was also a nice touch. I like the rounding lever which can be set to your choice of round up, round down, or when on 5/4 round up or down (whichever is nearest) when the calculator is set to limited decimal places. There's a power saving 'off' button too. The case is built robustly and looks capable of taking a few knocks, and stays where positions thanks to four small silicone feet on the underside which aid grip on a table top. This calculator is now an office staple, but will equally assist at home if you are working out a budget or calculating (say) how many rolls of wallpaper to purchase. It’s a traditional item, seemingly around for ever, but I’m old enough to remember first encountering a transistorised calculator in the mid-1970’s and staff still using huge Adreamer™ machines. This DM-1200V model does all the basics and more very well indeed. It’s considered form as well as function in the build, and is a lovely, clear size for anyone with fading eyesight. For just £8.99 you are purchasing a well made item that should give many years of use and won’t easily get mislaid. I’m impressed by the build quality and its simple operation, which if you are quick will easily keep up with your input skills. There’s an instruction booklet provided, but in practice this is an intuitive item that most adults and many children should readily operate without fuss immediately.

Perfectly good calculator. BUT!!
Works like any other calculator of its sort and works well.HOWEVER, the instructions are worse that useless and the package arrived damaged - luckily the calculator was OK. The more complete instructions on the back of the box were unavailable because the postage label had been stuck to them.
