Have you got a Windows PC?
The box works fine and the colour representation is better than the old box we had, even though we are using the same cameras.However.... The product description does not mention that you need a windows PC to access the cameras remotely if you do not want to use the Android app. After purchasing and setting up the box it became clear that to view the cameras remotely (on your home network or from anywhere on the internet) you need to have "active x" set up on your PC.As far as I can tell you cannot install active x on MAC or Linux based PCs.The vendor was polite and responsive when I asked them what to do. But there is no solution for us as we use Ubuntu PCs.This matter was reported to Amazon on 3 Sept 2018 so the product description may change to indicate the restricted compatibility of this product.

Hdmi port not working. Cd and manul guide wasnot included.
The hdmi not working. No one provide which app should be using with the dvr. Cd software wasn't in the box

HDD port not available.
There is no instruction how to attach 1TB HDD for this DVR. There is no such port. Anyone can help?

Replacing my old DVR...great value decent features. Does the job.
I needed to replace my 8ch dvr and thought I may as well go for a 16ch one cause I want to add a few more cameras. So eventually I ordered via prime with a WD 1tb saga hard rive to save some money. Both delivered together. 4 screws to take off the body of the dvr very simple. Body lifts off. 2 cables to plug in, can only go in one way. Then a packet with the dvr has screws in so you can fix the hdd down securely. Took all of 10 minutes. No fuss. Plug n play. I sat the new dvr on top of my old one and basically took each cable and put each one on to the new one. Labelling the cables as I went along. I plugged in a led screen which you can see in the photo so I knew everything was running ok. Instructions are fine. I'm still trying to work out the correct settings for sending me an email when there is an alert. But all other settings, time, date, detection zones on each camera and pairing up the App for iPhone, iPad, iPad Pro, Samsung galaxy tab A all worked fine. Very straight forward.good layouts on screen. Much smaller than my old dvr which was £600 and only 4 years old. Comes with a mouse as well. It's cheap and does the job. Very pleased so far and certainly recommend. I read a few of the reviews and was very sceptical. Pleased I bought them separate saved about £60+
