This watch is indeed a very rare and unusual item, mainly because of the genuine 1935 Irish Penny produced within the first 7 years of the Irish currency, the first minted coin being 1928. It is also rare because the individual who sourced the coins, had the watches made to the highest standard and was always 100% behind the Irish Penny Watch range, unfortunately is no longer with us. This means that it is highly unlikely that a watch of this type will ever be produced again, not least because there are no more penny coins from that era available now. This watch is not branded, it is not even a master timepiece, but it is a piece of Irish history never to be repeated.
