This is the creme of creme of Match's powder's out there because of the varitety of flavours this brand offers is awesome to change them up! I love this flavour for the mornings.....Amazon also offers the best deals on this brand compared to other Retailers . So no need to shop around! Bloom need to offer bigger sizes for better value as Matcha is becoming increasing popular in the Uk for health reasons. Sometimes size quantity has been a issue though.

Love the Bloom
Love bloom teas and have most of my office converted to drinking Bloom matcha in the morning over a coffee! Unlike some green teas you don't get that bitter aftertaste which is great and you certain feel a bit of a boost. Next on my to buy list is the mojito matcha.

Refreshing and pleasant tasting without the bitterness of shop-bought green tea, but overly expensive.
I wasn't expecting to enjoy this drink so much, as I prefer hot drinks over cold and the instructions seem to state that the drink should be poured over ice/into smoothies/yoghurt/cereals. etc. However, I made this as I would regular green tea, adding 4 scoops (using the plastic scoop provided - 4 apparently equal one teaspoon), with 100 mls of hot water as instructed. There's not any of the frothing that I expected from the instructions and the drink stirred easily with a teaspoon into boiling water (from a hot water heater, not directly from a kettle, as I didn't want boiling water to oxidise the good stuff in the product), though the drink was a little thick. There was a pleasant smell and taste of grapefruit and it did make a refreshing drink without any of the aftertaste that is often the residue with shop-bought commercial green tea. The next time round, I used the same amount of powder with a mug full of hot water (around 100 mls) and this was more like a regular green tea tea bag drink, but again without the bitterness.I am enjoying drinking this, though I can't see myself buying more of this at the price, and because when I nosed about the supposed lifestyle and health benefits of macha and green tea, they were stated as being inconclusive. I'll update the review as I continue to use the product.

Pretty good, and from someone who doesn't like tea, green or otherwise, that's better praise than it sounds!
I've never been a big fan of tea, green or otherwise, so I was pleasantly surprised by this matcha powder. I'd heard all the hype about the health benefits of matcha so I thought I'd give it a try regardless. That said, I don't actually drink it as a tea - I add it to milk and whisk it with a frother. I've also added it into smoothies, milkshakes, and it seems to work quite well. I'm not sure it's something I'd choose to drink if it wasn't supposedly good for me though! I can't say I've noticed any particular difference since drinking it - I don't feel especially energised or alert or anything! The jar comes with a little serving spatula, which I really don't see the point of, since it's just a tiny flat spatula. I chucked it and use a spoon. There's about 30 servings in the jar. The flavour is a little overpowering, takes a while to get used to, although it's certainly not unpleasant. It's quite green and grassy-tasting, but the grapefruit taste gives it a nice tang without having that artificial citric kick. That said, I have tried the mango version too, and there's little to distinguish the two flavours! You do need to make sure you blend it thoroughly, otherwise you'll get clumps and lumps of green powder that really don't taste particularly nice - which might be challenging if you're drinking it as tea, rather than adding it into a blender.

Could do with some instructions
When I first added hot water to this matcha powder, there was a very strong (but pleasant) grapefruit scent and I was worried that there would be a strong "fake" grapefruit taste with this tea. I usually keep away from flavoured teas for this reason. However the flavour is very sublte and does not overpower the delicate matcha flavour at all. My only reservation is that the famed green tea "after-taste" normally found with matchas is replaced by a grapefruit aftertaste, which is a shame, since that is one of the main reasons to drink good quality green tea. . Another minus for this tea is that the label is so full of information and serving suggestions - sprinkle into soups, salads and pastas, that there is nowhere on the label to tell you how to make a straightforward cup of matcha. If you have not made matcha before you would struggle to know how to make it. I suggest if you are giving this as a gift, to print off matcha making instructions from the web to go with it as making matcha is not just a case of adding powder to hot water. The jar does though come with a small serving spoon - pictured

Refreshing and very green!
Let's get the negatives out of the way first; my little jar of Bloom Sunrise was insufficiently packed and came with a cracked top and some slight leakage. It's also a bit on the pricey side.Grumbles over. A little of the matcha is all you need to make a mug full of green tea. It dissolves readily in hot (don't use boiling) water and can then be enjoyed as a hot drink or left to cool and served as iced tea. The fruit flavouring is quite pronounced and the colour is very green - far more than your usual tea bag green tea. The caffeine content is fairly high and I felt the boost almost instantly.A very pleasant alternative to coffee for your morning pick-you-up or if you feel your energy flagging during the day.Would I buy it again? Yes probably, but would prefer to buy from a shop rather than risk breakage in the post.
