Q: Would these be good for extra wide feet?

I can't guarantee anything, but I truly think they'd work fine! I wouldn't necessarily call my feet "extra wide," but they're definitely wide.... and I need a shoe that IS extra wide -- or has the adjustability to be -- because I'm needing that shoe to also accommodate the insertion of a hard plastic orthotic insole underneath the thin removable insole that's already in the shoe. And this shoe works fine for that. The shoe lace 'panel' has enough flexibility and adjustability built into it that I think you'd likely be just fine.

They are actually lighter then I thought they would be.

Q: Do these keep out rocks and protect your when when you trekking?

They have double mesh and can resist small stones from entering the shoe.
