Kizer CutleryC01C 3.25" Flipper Titanium Stonewash Plain Flooding Knife, Blue

I ordered this knife not only because of its style but also because of how rugged it looked. As a knife collector my leaning is toward the larger and stronger knives that I could rely upon for a long time should the need arise. Even if that need never comes up, I enjoy having a collection of good looking blades at hand.The knife came wrapped in a plastic sleeve which was inside a zippered camo bag and packaged in a reinforced box. Also included was a polishing cloth and a warranty pamphlet. The knife is guaranteed against defects in material and workmanship and has a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner.Now on to the knife itself. I paid the vendor $184.44 and expected to get the blue knife as shown in the picture on the product page. Unfortunately the knife was delivered in the standard steel grey color with the only blue color being on the accent ring on the ball bearing pivot. Aside from the missing color, this is one well-made and smoothly functioning flipper. The titanium handle fills your hands and the 3.25" blade is a thick and well finished CPM-535VN stainless steel.This thing locks up tighter than a bank vault and lends credence to the company's reputation for tight tolerances and great quality. There is absolutely no blade wobble when the blade is extended and releasing the frame lock is easily and smoothly done. The blade came sharp enough to cut paper and also shave the hair on the back of my hand. It could be made sharper though without comprising the integrity of the blade.So I'm impressed with the quality of the Kizer knife at this price point, actually very impressed. I would like to have the original knife in the color I ordered so I will contact the vendor and ask for a replacement.

This is definitely I knife you see and either want it or don't. It feels great in the hand, fit and finish are spot on, love the scales and like the bulkier flipper tab quite a bit. I also write like the wider pocket clip as it matches the width of the knife well. It works well with either more of a push or more of a pull/flip motion. Lockup is great, no blade play, blade is a freaking guillotine when closing, just falls shut. I had to drop one star because the detent is just a hair weak. If you aren't flipping/pushing the tab with a purpose you will get a weak and incomplete deployment. You can share the blade out with firm shake/wave. I may look into modifying the detent hole in the blade or bending the frame a bit to strengthen the detent to perfection. But overall I great knife with a unique look and a blast to flip open and closed. Looking forward putting the blade to use!

Excelente knife, Kizer’s quality is amazing! Not disappointed at all. Worth the money.

It's obviously a clever and those are more of a specific use knife, but it's a great addition to my lineup!
