I had high hopes when I purchased this. At first, my dogs responded pretty quickly and everyone was high-fiving each other with great rejoicing. But after a couple of days it seemed to have no impact on my dogs AT ALL. about a day or two after that, the system was dead and I needed more batteries. At that rate, I'd need to mortgage my house to cover the cost of batteries for mediocre results at best. So, as for me and mine, this is not worth it for 2 days of results.

Bought this to get the neighbor’s german shepherd to shut up. Did not work. We would “test” it out ourselves by trying to hit a certain frequency and the light would turn on like it was working. So we were hopeful. But when we put it out right next to the fence and the dog barked, it’s like it never registered. You think, “maybe the dog isn’t that loud”. Oh no. I can hear homeboy barking over our tv on the opposite side of our house. When we’re standing outside in the FRONT YARD we have to repeat outselves cause he’s so loud.Anyways, we never really expected these kinds of things to work anyways so not too disappointed. Especially when you can return it for a refund.

Even on the least sensitive setting this would go off when I closed my door, turned on the blender, set my keys down, or otherwise made a loud noise. It didn’t deter my dog from barking. May be better for intended, outdoor use.

Batteries don't last long and dogs learned it wasn't going to hurt them

So I feel like this works almost too well. I have two dogs. One of them isn’t really phased by it while the other one is petrified. Found him running to the opposite end of the house and hiding. And I swear I even faintly heard it go off when I closed a door and then saw him run. Maybe I didn’t give it a fair enough chance but I just couldn’t stand to see him so afraid so I’m returning it. I guess it just depends on the dog too

I have two of those rat dogs that live next to me and bark incessantly at everything from a gust of wind to a car. So I knew that I could reasonably pick any moment during the day and watch the product work (or not). So I stood next to this thing and watched as the dogs barked and the silencer did nothing. Didnt go on. Didnt detect a sound. I played with the range and still nothing. At one point, one of the rat dogs came up to me at the fence and started barking. And still, the unit did nothing. Only when I tapped it, did it emit a frequency and the dogs continued barking. Do not buy this. Gimmick or garbage. Avoid.

I bought this to stop my neighbor's dogs from barking at me & my STR guests. It works! Replace 9-volt battery every 2 months. Instructions & labeling on levels are not clear but I figured it out. I recommend this product overall!
