I am an avid detectorist. I bought this pinpointer to use as a backup for my Garrett Carrot. I wanted something that could get me by in a pinch and that I could give to a friend who wanted to come try detecting who didn't have their own gear. While it lacks some of the features you'd find on the Carrot, it is 100% capable of getting the job done and does exactly what it says it will do. I feel like it is well built as opposed to some of the knockoffs you tend to see here. It is indeed water proof and makes it easy to track your target. If you need an affordable backup/extra pinpointer or just need something that won't set you back $150 I would highly recommend this tool. You won't be disappointed!

I bought this pinpointer for a few reasons. One to be able to pinpoint treasure once found in a general area with my larger metal detector. The other reason I bought this was to find the pins I could not locate for some time at my property that is in the woods. This pinpointer is very accurate and very easy to use. Pulling it out the box and putting in the battery is about all the learning I had to do to be able to use it properly and quickly. The instructions in the box were easy to read and understand. The overall quality seems to be very good and seems like it will be a reliable tool for a long time to come. I submerged to pinpointer in about 1 ft of water for 15 seconds and had no problems whatsoever. For the price and quality the pinpointer seems very worthy and I highly recommend it.

I got the INKBIRDPLUS Metal Detector for one reason, and one reason only. My daughter dropped the pendant from her necklace that was gifted from her dear aunt. It happened in slow motion then all of a sudden it was gone. I didn’t need a big metal detector so I figured this small hand held one would do. It was easy to figure out so I didn’t even read the instructions. Well, guess what we found. Yup! The pendant! I am one happy customer. That alone was worth buying this. It’s pretty compact so I think I’ll keep it in the car. People are always losing earrings and such and it’s small enough to fit in my glove compartment. The water proof feature is nice, but I don’t know that I’ll need it. If I end up testing it under water I’ll update the review. Highly recommend.
