This light is a very high quality product. The LED light is very bright and it radiates downward towards the sign or other display. It also shows outwards some to the front. The built in solar cell array charges in 3 to 4 hours depending on sun light level. Mounting screws and anchors are provided but I mounted the light on an angle bracket I custom built.

This light is very well made with quality material. I installed it on brackets over my sign. It operates as expected and throughout the night providing bright downward only light. I am very pleased with the product and will consider for other locations on the farm.

The design is better than the gooseneck type I also considered. It does take two lights for a two sided sign. But that gives you great light on both sides.

The lighting itself is primo. The mounting accommodations assume you are going to mount on a flat wooden surface, none of which was true in my case, and the mounting holes are small and few. I wish there were more mounting options offered, like accommodation for an arm or arms. It was arduous to construct a mount that worked for my application. After I got it all installed, I discovered I need to remount it further away from the surface to better illuminate my 3D sign without major shadows. I'm tuckered out at this point, so that's a job for future Homer. But the light itself is powerful enough to illuminate a major area of the ground below enough to read a good book.

I put one on each side of a MHP sign that has been dark for more than a decade at night. Newly painted sign, 2 night lights on the sign, and a bright new LED street light by the power company in this area - quite the upgrade for a sorry area of this community. I also added a 4K:20MP trail camera to capture comings and goings. I didn't know this has a motion detection capability. Placement on the top part of a sign 10 ft high - motion detection isn't necessary.

Stopped working after five months. Total crap. DO NOT BUYEdited 3/2/2018Ordered two through Amazon fulfillment. Received one scratched and damaged, previously installed and returned, in a torn-up box without mounting hardware. No attempt to even try to cover up that it was a defective, previously-returned unit. Returned that unit and ordered another. Second unit was new in box, but...didn't work at all. After days of charging, would not turn on.Received replacement for the first damaged unit from Amazon fulfillment...IT WAS THE SAME UNIT I HAD JUST RETURNED.Returned the original two I got from Amazon fulfillment and ordered two units from the manufacturer, EE Systems Group (via Amazon). Now I have two functioning lights, and I'm pretty happy with them. They last till morning after good, sunny charging days, but not so long after cloudy days (of course). My advice: if you buy these, buy them directly from EE Systems.

The price is a little shocking, but when you open the box you'll understand where the money went. This isn't a crappy piece of molded plastic. Nice and bright though I would really love it to be a slightly warmer color temperature.EDIT: One year later, one of the units is not coming on at all. The other one turns on but seems to be stuck in the 25% brightness mode. I didn't notice when these failures happened but one year isn't long enough at this price.
