This is a solid wooden bookcase, very well built, and easy to assemble.

I am very pleased with this unit. I needed something to hold my stereo components. The bookcase I had been using was starting to come apart. I couldn't find anything with the same dimensions as what I had before, so I had to go with the closest that I thought would work. I am glad I went with this one. I love the moulding on the top and bottom edges and the wider width along the sides. It makes it look like I spent a lot more money than it did. I couldn't afford much and this unit met my needs. I would definitely recommend using the back piece. I considered not using it because of the stereo wiring. But the unit was pretty wobbly at first. The back piece made a distinct difference in stablizing it. The back piece is a lot more rigid and thicker than other flat pack furniture I have had. I had to cut a hole in it for the wires, and it was much harder to cut than other pieces I have done. A lot of the people did not like that it came in two piece with the white plastic piece connecting the two. But for my purposes it isn't noticeable. The adjustable shelf has a notch in the front and back so that the metal pins fit securely in the notches, so the likelihood of the shelf slipping is not an issue. Assembly was a little tricky by myself. And instructions would have been better to have actual instuctions in addition to the drawings in a couple of places where the diagram was kind of small. Overall I am very happy with the piece.

I had old wire shelves in my home office for binders, etc but wanted something nicer. The cherry finish looks great, is extremely sturdy (and easy to assemble) and looks beautiful next to even my more expensive furniture. Definitely worth it, and amazing low price!

I needed a little bookcase to put in my bedroom to hold my piano music and a few small items and my small TV. This was the perfect size. Easy to put together, and fits perfectly next to my piano.

The bookshelf is excellent! We love it. The delivery however, was another thing. USPS has lousy service day to day, so I do not understand why you would ruin a good thing by using them. They lie and do not have the slightest interest in helping you with your order.

Cheap and wobbly. The main reason it's getting such a bad review is the piece of plastic that runs down the back, holding the two back pieces together. Photos CLEARLY show it as BLACK. Piece is WHITE and sticks out like a sore thumb. Whole piece looks cheap and ugly.

The fit and finish of this bookcase is really nice for the price. Assembly was a breeze. My only complaint is the cheap back assembly - but that's the norm for furniture like this. In this case though - there is a piece that runs down he middle of the backboard that is visible from the front. If you plan to stuff it full of stuff - it won't be that noticeable but if you are using it for a more open display, you will see it easily. I may make an insert to hide it.

We purchased the 3-shelf version, as the shelf width fit our needs. It was easy to assemble.I made the mistake of putting the back panels oninside out. The white should be on the inside, obviously. The placement of the little tabs that stabilize the back panels was initially not intuitive,but it worked out. It is very sturdy and stable.Outstanding for the price.

Arrived undamaged. Fairly good quality with some weight to the unit. A little tedious to assemble. Took me a little more than an hour. Matches most any decor.

Every piece should have the appropriate number for easy assembly.
