Pretty easy DIY
Bought the upgraded controls and watched a few YouTube videos to prepare for the swap.The whole job took about an hour with the proper preparation.The actual removal of the old tabs is the most difficult task and I did worry I might break an attachment. Careful prying and the old switches were the removed.

Worked perfectly in Porsche 911 (997.1)
Despite the description saying these are for the 987 only, I decided to purchase them for my Porsche 997 as they are exactly the same, but $20 less expensive than the ones this company markets for 997s. Installation was super easy and took about $20 minutes. Now my HVAC controls look and work like brand new. Only reason I am deducting a star is because they could easily market these for both the 987/997 without the upcharge
