Sterling Silver Hypoallergenic Ball Chain Necklace - 1.8 mm, 24"

It occurred to me to search for sterling silver ball chains, although I didn't expect anyone to make them. Surprise! There were quite a few - but yours had the traditional closure (yesss!) while the others had lobster-claw clasps. My association with ball chains was the classic short one used with keys, and as a kid I thought their closures were genius. :-) By the way, those "keychains" are by far the best markers to use in hopscotch. They don't roll. ;-)Your 24" sterling ball chain is now around my neck and holding a loud whistle. The whistle had been on a cheap ball chain, but it lived in my camera bag, which I rarely carry. I don't expect to be in danger, but you never know. Thank you!

The chain is for a a fiftieth birthday present. It is a silver prayer box locket with a moonstone that came with a fine chain. Since it will be worn during yoga, she will need something more durable. What better than a chain meant for dog tags. The fact that it can be cut to a desired length is a plus, because she will be able to make the length one that she’ll be able to put on over her head. Classic & enduring - win-win !

I have my serpent Slayer pendent That I purchased the ball chain for. Dont listen to ignorant reviews saying "I'm a jeweler and this is fake". Silver tarnishes and turns black due to small amounts of sulfer in the air. The fact that it turns black is a good sighn that its real. Silver in the usa is marked. STERLING,925 and other things this has " STERLING" stamped. Indicating real silver. Best price for ball chain thickness around.

I didn't realize 1.8 mm was that fine a chain, but that's my fault! It is not discoloring AT ALL, so suggest you ignore that review.

If I could give this zero stars I would! I just got this today, so I can’t tell for sure but not only does this not look anything like sterling silver, it is at least 6 inches shorter than the necklace I ordered. I am a jewelry designer and this product is worthless! I am returning this product ASAP!

Absolutely love this. Very pretty yet very strong. It does not need to much polishing either--- stays bright and extremely durable. Would definitely purchase silver jewelry from this company again.

I wear this as a bracelet and love it after it tarnishes. In fact, I might tarnish it in a bag of scrambled eggs. With that said, this is my second bracelet. My first was a smaller mm and just didn’t look right. I’m very glad to have found dogtag surplus. They have great customer service and responded to a question I had promptly.
