Lovely format, pity about the story line
I really like this series when it comes to the solidity and size of the books and the colourful illustrations and touch and feel details, but I'm a bit disappointed with the changes made to the story line in this case: it turns out grandma wasn't eaten by the wolf but was hiding under the bed and warns little red riding hood so the wolf can't eat her. Also, the typical "oh grandma, what big eyes/ears/nose/mouth you have" and the wolf's replies have been simplified and/or cut out entirely, even though that repetition is in my view the main focal point of the story for little kids. I just add those details in while reading it to my son, but once he can read for himself I'll have to find another version I think.

My son's favourite book series
I decided to write a review after reading a bad review about this book. I guess it all depends on the child and you will not know until you buy one of these and try them. My 2 year old has five books from this series and he adores them all. He listens to the story, the pages are sturdy and the touch-and-feel bits on the pages make it even more interesting for him. I would totally recommend these and in fact, I am just about to buy these as a baby shower present for a friend!

Odd Story, wrong body parts touchyfied
Bought this as "the Gingerbread Man" and " Three Little pigs" are really good. This story has been cutiefied beyond words. Grandma is hiding under the bed and Daddy is walking past so the wolf just runs away. No need for such a change to the story, i grew up on the wolf eating her and the woodcutter cutting the wolf open- I am not irrevocably scarred by this. Aside from this rather strange blunder I also dislike the page of "oh what big eyes you have" and the touchy bit is the wolfs nose. We are currently working on face parts with toddler(13 months) so i think this was a very silly choice of the publishers. Overall I do not choose to read this to her, so for me was a waste of money.

Great introduction to traditional fairy tales for little ones
My year old grandson loves books and especially ones that have textured pages and flaps to lift! The books are an abridged version of the traditional story so the perfect length for this age group.

Great Books
I love the range of these books. They are really well made, the stories are quick to read but long enough to satisfy my toddler. My baby also loves to feel the "touch" bits of the book. After buying one of them in the range, I then bought all of them as they are so good.
