No red wigs and stripey tights here. . .
Being a lover of home made food and voracious meat eater, I am on a life long (two words that don't go with burger!) quest for the perfect burger.Hopefully this little press will get my creative juices flowing. . . .I can honestly say that I can't remember the last time I shop-bought a burger! I've been making them since my mum showed me a basic recipie as a kid. Hand made are okay, but this press just makes them that much better to handle, look at and of course eat!Basically it's a burger mould and press. You get 100 wax discs with it. That's it. The mould and press have those bbq style lines already built in so your finished burger looks the buisness! Being die cast aluminium and having a nice solid wooden handle on the press it's a well built device. In use it's spot on folks.- You prepare your burger mix and once ready you get the required amount to fill the mould to just a tad under the brim.- Put one wax disc in the bottom of the mould. Your burger will tip out easy then.- Firm the burger mix into the mould and using the press handle press down firmly!- Tip your juicy home made burger out of the mould and you're done!Get it on your buns with whatever you fancy and tuck in! This press gives you a quarter pound burger which is approximately 2cm thick and the perfect size for your buns. If you were making a job lot to freeze, just keep a wax disc between each one so they're easy to separate and you don't have to smash the kitchen to bits like a crazed starving hulk to get one burger out!It washes up easily with hot soapy water too. Jobs a goodun. This isn't going to sit in the back of your cupboard and 5 yesrs later be handed in to uour kids school raffle like those doughnut makersRecommended.May I share a lovely juicy burger recipie I stumbled upon. . . .2lbs of minced beef1 egg yolk beaten40g dry breadcrumbs3 tablespoons of milk3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce2 minced garlic clovesHalf an onion minced1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoningJust mix the lot well in a bowl and leave to marinade/settle for 20 mins, then use for your burgers! It produces a tasty, juicy burger I'm told! Obviously you can play around with the recipie to suit your own tastes :)

Great Gadget
I have not used it yet, so I can't comment. It looks quite sturdy, and I am sure it will make professional-looking burgers.

Very Handy
Great for making homemade burgers.I mince my own (skirt Beef) plus seasoning and find it works well.To stop the burger sticking i put a wax disk in the bottom before i add the mince and find this stops the burger sticking and in my opinion better than using oil etc on the pressRecommended

Good quality
First time using a burger press and I used 500 g of steak mince , very easy . Disc in the bottom and popped the mince in then pressed and disc in the top . Extremely easy and very pleased with the results. Managed to get 4 burgers . Next time I use it I’ll try for the more fancy fillings . Quality item , a breeze to clean - recommended

Tough assembly
Now that I’ve managed to assemble it properly it’s really good. The quality and depth of the bevel on the handle wouldn’t allow me to attach the handle to the base. I’m fortunate enough to have the tools available to correct the issue and now it’s solid. The defect may have been only on my item and once sorted to how it should have been has been a great item for the kitchen. We’ve tried making different burgers and had a great evening with friends making burgers for the BBQ.You can vary the thickness with a bit of manipulation but you do need to use the non stick sheets or it would be a nightmare, reuse the same sheet over and over on the same day then chuck away the one instead of wasting many

Fabulous product
Fabulous product - saves so much time instead of having to shape your burgers, and they look the business! Had a family BBQ at the weekend and the guests loved the burgers! I guess it was also down to the what I use to make my burgers too, but the press certainly helped me make them look amazing!Really easy to use, because it is metal your burger mix doesn't stick. Pop a disc in the bottom, fill, press then add your top disc. The burgers come out easily and there is no mess! It's dead easy to clean by hand also! Bonus! My Husband says that I am now in charge of home made burgers for every BBQ we have! No more shop bought ones ever! :o)

Burger Press
Great for home made burgers.Great Name.Handle tricky to put together & had to make minor adjustment by drilling hole to accommodate length of screw which was a little short. Otherwise all good & looks neat.
