PodPackz AirPods Hard Case with One Pair of AirPods Hooks for Apple AirPods (Black Case + White Hooks) (Updated Zipper)

I bought these because the clever people at PodPackz picked-up on my comment that the silicone case I purchased didn't have a place to store the ear hooks, and they invited me to try theirs. I did, and it's a good product. Both cases satisfied me 4 out of 5 stars. This one I like the substance of the case, although it is bigger in every dimension than the silicone case (to be expected), but what I was disappointed in with the PodPackz is having to remove the AirPod case in order to charge it. Admittedly it's a small issue, but seems like it would have been an easy thing to have a hole in the bottom of the case. So, I'll probably use both cases in different situations (travel, activity, etc), but I'm still looking for a way to put a pouch or sleeve on the silicon case for the ear hooks. Anybody? ;-) Oh, also... I cut the logo zipper-pull off and moved the ring and carabiner into the zipper head, which cut down on the pocket bulk just a tad. Sorry about the logo loss on the pull.

I purchased this case because I wanted a convient way to carry my AirPods and AirPod Hooks together in a small case (most AirPod cases don’t hold AirPod Hooks, or when they do they’re too bulky). To fit the AirPods charging case and AirPod Hooks in this case you have to force the lid closed because the case can only comfortably fit the AirPods charging case. The height of the AirPods charging case plus the AirPod Hooks is taller than the case, and that doesn’t even account for the thickness of the case (see photo). Also, the elastic strap in the top of the case is loose and doesn’t securely hold the AirPod Hooks very well.If you’re looking for a case to protect your AirPods charging case, you’re better off buying something else. If you’re looking for a case to conveniently carry your AirPods charging case and AirPod Hooks together, I would recommend buying this case but only until something better comes out (there aren’t a lot of options at the time of this review). This case will get the job done, but it’s less than ideal, but there aren’t any better alternatives right now. 🤷🏻‍♂️To the manufacturer, if this case was about an 1/8” taller and the elastic in the lid had a little tension to it (and you fix the zipper issues everyone complained about) this case would be perfect. 👌🏻

I've searched extensively, and remarkably, this seems to be the only airpods case with a place to store ear hooks. It appears to be good quality, and I see no issues with the zipper. The included ear hooks are great, though I already had to buy them separately, since this product was unavailable with no indication of when or if it might become available again. I'm glad it's back in stock regardless.This case is really convenient, since unlike most travel pouches, you can open the airpods cradle while it's still snug inside the case. Taking it out of the case to charge isn't really a bother. The only thing that might make it better is if it had some sort of magnetic or clasp closure instead of a zipper, for even easier opening and closing. This case is designed for more of a rugged usage, so I understand having the zipper. I can't believe there aren't more options out there, but like I said, it's the only case with a place to store ear hooks, so it basically gets 5 stars just for that.

This is exactly what I was looking for - a very small zip case for my airpods WITH a pocket to tuck in the ear hooks for convenience and safe keeping. Unfortunately, whatever the interior is made of, it leaves tiny black hairs/dust all over the airpod and the ear hooks. Perhaps it is due to its newness and over time, once all the hairs have been brushed off the interior, it will stop happening. For now, I am constantly rubbing the stuff off everything white, but it hasn't bothered me much. that is the only thing keeping my review from a 5-star review. Zipper worked just fine, and the blue color contrast of the zipper to the black exterior utility look is pretty damn cool. The functional ability to clip this anywhere with the tag, ring and carabiner are very much appreciated!

Love it because it comes with a pair of ear budz and keeps the AirPods save. The ear budz have a great storage spot in the case, which is awesome so you don't lose them. The case is solid and the zipper is good quality and hasn't jammed. I use the carabiner to hang where we put our house keys at home.The first day I had my AirPods they slid off the console in the car because of the hard plastic surface on both. They were fine but ordered this product to keep them safe and it does. Also it's very affordable compared to other products.I guess I have big ears and need the inserts when I work out or run, or lay on my back with the AirPods. I actually cut the "hooks" off one pair so that they don't look any different that not having the ear budz on the AirPods. It worked fine and use a 2nd pair with the hooks only for running to make them very tight.

So I was pleasantly surprised at how much I love this little case. It’s thick and feels very sturdy, like if I were to drop my AirPods on concrete, they would be safe and sound. This comes with attachments that make the AirPods fit in your ear in a way similar to the Bose Soindsport, however I don’t use them as my AirBuds fit fine without them. My only criticism is that I wish the bottom had an opening so I could charge the AirBuds without ha omg to remove them, however I’m not complaining bc if I were to say drop them in a puddle, the headphones and their little case would likely remain dry. All in all this is an inexpensive way to keep your AirPods safe and since they cost $160.00, I am glad to have found this case and bought one for myself and my husband. Arrived very quickly and well packaged.UPDATE: 8-24-18 zipper has failed and is falling off after a few months of GENTLE use. So furious.
