Excellent translation of the Qur'an
MashaAllah I'm really enjoying to read this particular translation of the Qur'an, because of the flowing nature of the English. It's very enjoyable to read. I think this is down to the layout of the text. It has all of the translation as joined up sentences with verse numbers as super script to let you know when a new verse starts. This allows someone to read it as a continuous text unlike many translations which use a "new line for a verse" strategy. The Arabic text is put in a box and the English is surrounding it...very nice layout. A previous review suggested that the Arabic was too small to read, but I have not found this to be the case. There is a little sentence before every chapter to explain where the chapter was revealed (Makkah or Madinah) and a short context, which I like as it doesn't go on and on as many translations and tafsirs do: it let's you get right into reading the Qur'an. In a few instances where the context needs to be made a clear a short footnote is included, which again is kept nice and concise. The author has really done a good job Alhamdulillah of making this an enjoyable read. Also the cover of this particular Qur'an is more beautiful when you see it for real. I would totally recommend this translation of the Qur'an for Muslims and non-Muslims

Another great book from MAS Abdel Haleem
I bought 'The Quran' the one before this one which doesnt have the arabic next to it and it was great piece of work that MAS did on it. It flowed nicely and effectively and really helped me understand the quran like never before. Since then I have bought a few more books to help increase my knowledge in islam and when i saw this book had the arabic next to the english i thought it could be a good way to try and may be pick up some arabic at the same time and help me pick up on the language of arabic, as well as learning its contents. The arabic is pretty small though. It would have been good if the arabic took up the whole page as this book is written with the standard size quran page at a time.

English translation of the Qur’an
Easy to understand with parallel Arabic text

At last, English I can relate to.
This translation is a great improvement over earlier translations for me. The English is much more understandable but still conveys the meaning accurately, so far as I can tell. The language still retains much of the powerful delivery one would expect. One criticism I have is that many people who read the Qur'an in translation have poor or no Arabic reading skills. In my case, I find the Arabic script quite difficult to decipher, mainly because of it's small font. If the Arabic text was in a larger font size, I would rate this translation even higher.

Very easy to read
The language is simpler than normal translations, which makes it easier to understand the words of Allah swt. I normally struggle with other translations as I end up having to put in extra effort trying to translate the English itself let alone the Arabic, but definitely don't have that problem with this translation. I bought a copy for my 12-year-old cousin as well because the English is so accessible, so this should be fine to give to children around that age, if anyone was considering buying for their children

The Qur'an
Excellent modern English translation of the Quran by Professor Abdel Haleem approved by Al Azar it flows like the Arabic Quran and is easy to understand probably a successor to Yusuf Ali's although its good to have both due need of extensive unmatched commentary which is only found in Yusuf Ali's The Holy Qur'an and some passages are explained in more detail in Yusuf Ali's too, but for modern English speakers Abdel Haleem's is probably the best of the recent New translation's in the English language.
