She's really into super heroes at the minute and we were really struggling ...
My four year old daughter loves this book. She's really into super heroes at the minute and we were really struggling to find anything with female heroes for her. It's not that clear from the description but this is a picture book rather than a comic/graphic novel. It's written in a very clear language and looks like it'll be a good one for when she's 5-7 and starts learning to read. The main story is around 40 pages long but it's in a large font so the whole thing is easily readable in one bedtime sitting. As well as the main story it also has a glossary with some of the more complicated words and also two pages of questions to start discussions about themes covered in the story.

An excellent story for younger readers
This is an excellent adventure story for younger readers who are interested in the exploits of Wonder Woman and her supporting cast of helpers and villains. This 48-page book is similar in size to children’s Christmas Annuals, and the 38 page main story is printed in a very large and clear font. It is very easy to read, and certain words are highlighted to indicate that they will be found in the Glossary at the end. Almost every page is illustrated, with many illustrations running across two pages. The style of the artwork illustrating the text story is heavily influenced by the animated TV / DVD series of DC Comics’ superheroes, and so is likely to be familiar to readers. The story is well-written with a clear narrative, and although there are no chapter breaks, it flows smoothly from subject to subject, as it describes the birth and early life of Princess Diana of the Amazons, how she became Wonder Woman, and the various villains that she encounters in the world beyond her island home.At the end of the book, there are fact pages about Wonder Woman, biographies of the author & illustrator, a Glossary, and two pages each of Discussion Questions.
