The lock arrived promptly and the instructions for setting the combination are clear and easy to follow. Sadly my bike was stolen whilst secured by this lock so I really can't recommend its security features.It appears that the thief snipped the cable with tin shears or pliers; in other words with just a handheld tool. To my mind a bike lock should be tougher than this. At least strong enough to make stealing a bike in a very public place a bit more difficult.In future I would probably want to back up a cable lock with a steel U Lock.

After a couple of uses the cable broke free from the locking mechanism (see pic). Thieves don’t need bolt cutters to break this lock - they just need to pull hard enough.

Cheap and cheerful. I have seen reviews showing the lock can be cut with bolt cropped, to be honest my purpose is a child's bike, if someone has bolt croppers at the ready I suspect they are hunting for something dearer than my sons bike so I will accept that risk for the price.The colour is vivid and makes an obvious deterent, which is all I am looking for. The universal bracket for fixing to the bike makes this ideal so my son can click the lock on when not in use and ride without a lock hoocked over one arm as he rides!Fair product for the price, it's not going to stop a determined thief but will stop an opertunitist. You get what you pay for. I think this is a fair price for a reasonable deterent.

Poor quality cable, easy to cut. My bike was stolen at 3PM in front of the store, so probably it could be cut in seconds...

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter who is on the spectrum as she has trouble with losing keys and fidgeting with things that require precise movement, so this is perfect for her. She's learned the 5 digit code quickly, which you can change and set yourself. It comes in a variety of colours; we chose the pink one as this is her favourite colour and its a very nice hot pink, so it's easily found and isn't going to get lost very easily either.The combination lock is also very easy for a child to turn and enter their code, but its also very durable and would be hard to try and break into and have her bike stolen which is great when we're on a bike ride, taking her bike to school/ clubs, etc. i would definitely recommend this product.

My first ever bikelock, at the age of 43. Quite an event. It does its job. Its affordable, feels solid and would require someone to really want to steal my rusty bike to cut through it.My only gripe is the code locking system. Its great you can set it to whatever you want, but sometimes when unlocking, the little dials don't spin, so you can get stuck on one number (usually the last number) for ages. I've found the best way it to just start again (spin all the numbers around) and eventually it allows me to select the number I want.I've probably explained that terribly, but ultimately its a 4 star review because its not that easy to lock and unlock, despite knowing the code.

For the price you should obviously not expect Fort Knox when buying this. The lock is a convenient visual theft deterrent in public places, for instance if you're going to the store, and not a lock you should depend on for leaving a bicycle anywhere over night. It is fragile and can probably be broken fairly easily both at the end of the cable or as mine spontaneously decided to do by itself after a few month, at the lock pin. Luckily for me, mine broke off when I was setting it at home.

Had it for 2 weeks then something inside must have warped and I could no longer use the device, thank god work has a indoor bike area, DO NOT BUY THIS, cheap Chinese made stuff, not worth taking the chance just for the money side of it, I have just ordered a D lock. If I could rate 0 stars I would.
