Photographic aid
I use this as a photographic aid. Placed against a copy board, it provides a pretty accurate reading which, when the device is held against the film plane/CCD sensor plane of the camera (or even the mounting plate at 90 degrees) can be used to equate the angle of the camera to the copy board. Then, adjusting the hight of the camera, parallel planes provide zero perspective distortion.
