Easy to use, good value for money, taste is non existent which is what you'd want.

Think this works out cheaper than getting cheap liquid colouring from supermarkets as a little goes a long way with this. Colours are vibrant. I have been using them to dye rice and things for my children’s play and comes out really well... have even mixed colours to make orange and purple as these didn’t come in the set and turned out really well.Only downside is production to use by date is 3yrs and mine only have 2yrs left so don’t think I’ll use up in that time... but will still be good for dying play dough and that kind of thing.Also planning to make children’s birthday cake icing with these.

The colour is really good! So pigmented so you barely need a drop to get the colour you want! The red and black is a bit difficult as it’s harder to get the desired colour, but using the microwave method works wonders! You ideally need a toothpick to get some colour, or the end of a spoon. For the price it’s worth it!

-You will need to use slightly more than the other reviews had led me to believe-You do need to practice a few times to get the colours you want as too much can then make the sponge too dark also-If you use the blue or green you WILL end up with bright green poo-If you then give this cake to your children, they will also have bright green poo-You will frantically google ‘what does bright green poo mean’ before you realise it’s from the cake and icing bit your eyes will not be able to unsee those search results-You will have to work out how to explain to everyone who came to your child’s birthday party and ate your cake that they may have bright green poo!!!But then again, if you’ve got kids then you’re probably already pretty used to having conversations around poo anyway and the cakes are so yummy and look amazing that it’s all worth it!!!

These made a perfect rainbow buttercream with a little colour mixing. Top tip, if you are colouring buttercream make it a few days to a week ahead of when you are going to use it, keep it in the fridge after colouring it, when you come to use it the colour will be WAY more vibrant than when you first mixed it in.

Really vibrant colours with very little of the gel paste, no weird taste at all. Very impressed and would buy again.

I love these gel colours. They give vibrant colours but be careful, the pots can get messy and then they’re hard to store
