Remote LCD meter/display for 10A and 20A Photonic Universe dual battery solar charge controller (with 10m cable)

A good idea, find it useful for monitoring the condition of the batteries.The green charge light gives an instant indication that all is well during daylight hours. Thankfully haven't encountered it's evil red counterpart as yet.The data is displayed in an easy format, simple to understand.The green backlight illuminates when you press buttons and switches off by itself a few seconds after it's been left alone, the colour and brightness is a little garish though.A word of advice, choose your mounting position carefully as the display, especially when lit, can be hard to read from certain angles, you pretty much have to look at it from straight on, and remember it will light up when you push buttons to cycle through the information.

Ordered this to see if it would work with the Truma Solar charger fitted to my 2021 Bailey Autograph. Plugged it into the Truma charger and it works 100% with all documented functions displaying for both my batteries and solar panel. Really pleased with this for the price :)

Easy to mount and connect. Only downside - haven’t found a way to adjust the proportion of charge that goes to each of the two batteries. Still have to do this on the separate charge controller.

Simplest to install display I have ever dealt with. Works perfectly with my Truma badged Solar Dual Battery Charger SDC 10/20 on my motorhome. The 10 metre RJ-45 cable is probably far too long for most applications!

A very useful addition to my Solar Panel Set-up. Used in a Campervan it enables me to mointor the batteries very easily and accurately with clear indication of the state of each battery and the output from the solar panel. Very easy to install with just the one cable to hide. The display illuminates so it can be mounted virtually anywhere and seen at the touch of a button. This item really completes my Solar Panel set-up.

Didn't initially get one of these to go with my DB1024 dual solar charger, but decided to take the plunge and really glad I did.It's just so reassuring to have this continual display showing me the state of my leisure batteries and starter battery.The 'Next' button toggles between battery bank 1, battery bank 2, solar panel volts, and also the charger temperature.One thing to be aware of; the unit can be fitted flush into a hole, or surface mounted using the additional box frame. If you surface mount be aware that the back of the instrument has a rectangular section that protrudes about 0.5mm from the flush outer rim of the device. This lets it locate nicely in the surface mounting frame. At first I couldn't understand why the instrument would not screw down completely flush when it fitted perfectly into the circular panel hole I had created for it. So you either need to cut the hole slightly larger or put washers between the instrument and flush mount surface.

Bought this as an add on for the factory fitted Truma solar charger in our Bailey caravan. Easily fitted just by plugging in supplied cable. Gives visibiy of current being generated by panel and amp hours going into battery. Gives you confidence for off grid caravanning.
