Great lights, strange sequence patterns...
Pros: I love the way these look. I like that you are able to dim the lights. I like that there are 8 different pattern sequences. I had no problem unwinding the strings. The strands are nice and small. They are easy to create different looks other than having them hang just vertically. I used the little white twist ties that hold each strand from tangling during delivery tohold the strands when creating my own hanging pattern. Having a timer is nice. Having a remote is great. It has 8 different pattern sequences. No batteries needed, and you can attach multiple strings. They don't burn hot. They are indoor/outdoor.Cons: For the patterns that slowly fade in and out they either all fade at the same time, or every other light fades at the same time. I was looking for more of a twinkle effect. The fast blinking pattern is so fast and crazy. If you have seizures triggered by flashing lights, beware, LOL! On my set, the light patterns will randomly change on me, though set at on one pattern. Either I have a poltergeist, or something is throwing off the signal box thingy. The remote is very small. I continuously misplace it. The only way to change patterns or set the timer is through the remote. I read the instructions, however my lights just go wonky by themselves.Would I buy another set? Yes. They look beautiful!

looks great, long length, dim feature does not work
These look great and the length was longer than many. We used for Christmas in front of a window. The extra length allowed us to light the garland above the window. The really bad part is the dim feature does not work. This was the primary reason I paid more for this set. I am very disappointed. I would have sent it back but I wanted to get my decorating done--so I kept it, with resentment. There are other more basic sets out there for less money, with no dim feature. The remote works fairly well. Sometimes the timer button wont turn on the lights, but if it hit on then the timer it works great. The wires are small and somewhat less noticeable. IF you can stand flashy lights you can set this so only every other light comes on and I think it actually looks much better more spaced out because it makes the wires less noticeable (personally I dont like the flash). The remote comes with a battery. Follow the directions on hanging, run the horizontal wire before you release the vertical lights. Save all the ties for repacking.

Decent decorative lights with some annoying bugs
I bought these lights to try and light a room. They don't claim to be for this, and are definitely not bright enough for this application (their total light output is probably about a 40 W light bulb spread over a large area). We're using them as decorative lights instead, which is their intended purpose. There are a couple problems with them that might lead to me reselling though. First, they have 8 different modes of lighting that always cycle in the same order. The first mode has them flashing so much an epileptic might have a seizure. I can see that some people might want this, but the annoying thing is that whenever you hit the on button they always start in this mode, no matter what mode you last had them in. If would have been nice if the first mode was just the simple always on mode, but sadly that is not the case and you have to cycle 8 clicks on the wired button, or hit On and then 8 on the remote to get to it. If there's some way to change this so it defaults to just on I'd love to know it. When you turn them on they also default to a 2 hour timer and then go off. To change this you have to click yet another button on the remote to either set a longer timer or tell them to go on indefinitely. It doesn't seem to be possible to turn them on with longer than a 2 hour time with the button, but maybe there's some secrete sequence of button pushes that I don't know about? The next issue is the remote. I have to push buttons on it multiple times to make it work and generally be 5-10 feet away or closer. Also sometimes the lights just go on on their own. I wonder if maybe signals from my wifi router are causing this, but even if they are it is a poor design. If they just make these lights turn on for real with switch and have no remote at all they would be better. Or save all the fancy different light modes and timing features for the remote. They tried to do something cool with these lights but really messed up the user interface. They're still decent lights, but I hope these comments will help them redesign their next version (or reply with how to fix this current version).

Won't stay on!
Won't stay on. Put them up last night, stayed on for hours. I'm laying here now and they go off after 10mins. If this keeps up I'm going to have to return them. I know I'm not hitting the timer either. Since I turned them on a few hours ago they've gone off every 10mins. Super frustrating!

Only lasted a day
these were exactly what I wanted the first day I put them up. I have them set up in a bedroom across the ceiling..they looked amazing. Day 2, they wont stay on.. after about 10 minutes they shut off. It took me hour to pin them across the ceiling now I’m thinking I have to take them down and trash them :(

Love the remote, multiple setting and dimming ability
Bought these for a Pinterest project. The first set had an issue withi the plug and was promptly replaced by manufacturer. After hanging up I was so impressed I bought 2 more sets. Only complaint is they are longer than what was required. But was able double back and wrap around to solve that. Oh LOVE the remote and all the settings plus being able to dim. Fingers crossed I will need that feature one night

Horrible
I ordered the lights with the wall background awhile ago with yellow light. I love them. I reordered them from my order history and received something completely different with white clips and white lights....who wants the clips? They will be noticeable against the wall. and that is the photo with the white and black background.
