Great game, but you need to be patient when first setting up
This is a nice upgrade to the original Game of Life board game, but you will need the patience of a Saint when setting up initially. The user manual is poorly documented and often inconsistent with the flow of requirements, but when you do eventually get all the cogs working and understand the many nuances that inhabit this game, then it all starts to come alive. Had hours of fun playing this and I look forward to hours more. Monopoly with marriage, babies, and pets... Can't be bad.

Good fun
This game was quite tricky to set up in the first place but once done it is quite good fun to play. Each game lasts long enough but not too long, and can be set to suit anyway.

Great family game
As long as you fix it together properly it is great, which the first time we played we didn't. Although it was our mistake as we did not read that part of the instructions properly. The first time you play it is quite confusing and you need to keep refuring back to the instructions, but it does get easier the more you play.Great family game but I do prefer the original version.

Overly complicated
Game of life has been around for ages hasn't it. That's what I thought and I also thought well might as well get an updated version of it. Thats what I thought this was. It turns out the Adventures Edition comes with a complicated board which requires construction - the construction of which yields a disk in the middle of the board that "makes every game different". The idea is that if you roll a 1 then you have to move the center about which changes various properties of spaces on the board.Personally we, the players, didn't really like it that much and felt it made everything a little bit complicated. Not least because the center didn't move particularly easily and unless the board was held down pretty much just moved the whole thing. It also didn't help that sometimes the new spaces didn't align particularly very well with the hole beneath.Quite like the Game of Life, but this version isn't worth the bother.
