John O'Brien has really hit top marks with the Tipping Point series
John O'Brien is a new author to me & I am so glad that I started to read the Tipping Point series. Right from the first chapter of Tipping Point: Opening Shots I was hooked and this continued with Tipping Point: Escalation. Tipping Point: OPLAN 5015 is, without doubt, brilliant. I seriously struggled to put each novel down and could not wait to pick up each one again.John O'Brien is right up there with Clive Cussler, Stephen Coonts & James Rosone.I am eagerly awaiting the next thrilling novel in the Tipping Point series & already know it will be as good as the other three fantastic novels.

Really involving story.
I really enjoyed reading this series. The plot is very much of the present day and could so easily become a reality. I was disappointed to reach volume 7, when the tale is about to reach it's climax, to find that was the end of the story, at least for now, with no word of the date of publication of the next volume. IL do think that the author's editor could have taken a more stringent line with him, the story tends to wander off the point and we are treated to the various actors innermost thoughts of happy days gone by, etc, which interrupts the smooth flow of the narrative and greatly contributes to the excessive length of the series. All that said, the series is a really immersive read and I look forward to future volumes.

A definite page turner!
A story line that is believable and interesting. In these current days, it makes one think about what could happen and how much of the world could be impacted. A good yarn to contemplate.

Bonne lecture
A date, les livres de cet auteur sont de bonnes qualités et valent la lecture. En espérant que celui-ci continuent cette série en plusieurs volets car le sujet est très vaste.

VERY REALISTIC
Gives an interesting insight as to how conflict will now be conducted. Also interesting is that the author keeps the characters at an impassive level with no heroes saving every day.Seems to be a good lesson of modern day tactics.A very good, informative read.

Ending is abrupt and rushed.
I was reading along when the book just abruptly ended in the middle of something missile attack. The story was good, writing follows military style and keeps you engaged. But the abruptness of the end is hard to get past. And not knowing is this is the final in the series for sure, we'll it is annoying. When I got the first book, my understanding this was a 3 book series. So the question is, did that change or did this series now end with war in full swing?

Good read for the technos amongst us.
This a good story told for the people who like to read the ‘ins and outs’ of a future war from a technical standpoint. The characters are just byplays in this story but it does show one human thing - pride can make even the most powerful people and nations do things that are morally abhorrent.Sad story all to likely.
