Now that they are on my brand new couch they seem like they will do the job however, I wont purchase more. The plastic sheets come folded in half. This leaves a permanent crease in the material. The pins are not rounded corkscrews, they are more straight with sharp bended areas. A round corkscrew design would be easy to screw into the couch. Instead, you make the hole bigger trying to screw these in.

Plastic Furniture Protectors
They cover the couch corners nicely and keep the pets from scratching them. They did come folded in half but I unfolded them, laid them on a table, and placed some heavy books on top of them for a few days and most of the crease came out. I didn't try this but heat from a hair dryer might have helped even more to make the plastic more pliable before putting it on the couch. Very nice product!

I hated seeing the new couch starting to get torn up ...
We have a moderately new couch and it was already starting to get shredded on the corner is by the cats. I don’t declare my cats so I’ve always had to live with some minor damage in the house. I hated seeing the new couch starting to get torn up so I thought I would give this a shot since they’re inexpensive and seemed relatively easy to use. I couldn’t be happier with trying it. They work great they really aren’t that noticeable and they’ve kept any further damage from being done. It makes me feel like the couch will stay in better shape for a much longer period of time with the animals. Everyone he’s come over when they’ve eventually notice to them has ended up ordering them for themselves. Give it a shot it’s worth a try

Durable / Works like it's supposed to
My cats love scratching at the corner edges of my leather couch. This is a great solution to keep the corners intact and save it from complete shredding. However the cats may just start scratching at other areas of the couch once they realize the corners aren't scratchable any more. The product is clear transparent rubber type of plastic and its very durable. Its made to last. It wasn't very hard to install. It comes with small twisted pins that you just twist in using your fingers tips, and then you have to push the pins firmly kn place once twisted all the way. Be very careful for these are sharp little pins. I did accidentally prick my finger a bit with one of them but luckily I did not break the skin. My cats are not able to yank out the pins either because of the twisted design of the pins. The product is holding up very well and doing what it is supposed to do. It literally saved my couch corners from being destroyed. I would reccomend.

Only thing that worked
A few months ago we got a 6-month-old kitten who immediately took to scratch our couch. He kept buying new scratch posts and toys, scratch-deterrent sprays, and various methods of discouraging him and incentivizing him to scratch elsewhere. Nothing worked until we put this guard up.The cat still scratches up places on the couch, but the corner was really getting the most attention, so now he uses his actual scratching posts and toys.

Not a fan of this product
Product comes with a massive crease in it as it is not shipped flat but rather bent in half. One of our cats took a liking to the tacks that come with it for installation into the fabric of the couch. So much so that he pulled them out for fun as if to make a game of it and was found chewing on them. In addition we then had tacks laying across the living room floor that became a hazard for anyone walking in the space. We ended up removing them and throwing them out within a couple weeks of install, at least what was left of them, as most of the tacks had been pulled out and thrown around the house. In the end we felt the product posed a health risk to us and our cats. Would not recommend the product unless they start being shipped flat and with a tack that is not so easily pulled out by the cats. I would definitely not install this product if I had small children in the house. If my cat was able to pull the tacks out so easily I don't want to think about what a toddler could do with them.

Cats ?
These saved my brand new fabric couch ! Oh, and the scat mat I laid on the floor between the couch and the wall where a cat had clawed part of the fabric where I did not see !! I do like that these plastic protectors are clear and not noticeable . They are a soft plastic and easy to attach to the furniture .
