Such a great doorbell cam!! DB1PRO
This one the db1 pro 2k camera has to be the best doorbell camera ever. Easy install, very reliable and affordable, works with a typical doorbell although it’s not making noise not sure why. The quality of the video is just amazing! It has pretty good reception for a small device with no antenna. I love all the settings, over all way better than the regular db1. For blue iris password is in the QR code, use a QR reading app.

Good doorbell camera, but human detection isn't great
Installing this doorbell camera was pretty similar to installing my previous doorbell camera. The only thing that surprised me was that I had to use the two lead wires that came in the box between my existing wiring and the doorbell to get my mechanical chime to work in the house. Before I connected those lead wires, the mechanical chime would not work. Total time to get it installed was 1-2 hours. It would have been a lot faster if I had just used the lead wires first.I have two EZVIZ security cameras outside my house that I'm a big fan of. I get timely notifications from the app and the person detection is pretty good on them. For some reason, on one of the cameras I will sometimes get notifications if it's raining really hard or snowing at night. The other night, it was snowing and the doorbell camera notified me that it had detected a person. The doorbell camera has also notified me for different animals that have walked across my front porch (a squirrel and a cat). It is currently set up to only notify us if a person is detected. If they updated the software so it would stop misidentifying animals and snow as a person, I would give this a 5 star review. This seems to be a problem across multiple EZVIZ devices, but it's one I can live with because of how well they perform aside from that.

Seems half baked
I picked up an Ezviz doorbell camera and it worked perfectly with my existing wiring for a few months. While it still is getting power from the system it no longer rings the internal ringer. I tried the "fixes" tech support suggested but nothing worked. So rather than waste more time on it I decided to buy their chime. Again, this worked for a short time and basically stopped. I still get the push notification in the app when someone rings the bell but no sound is heard. I tried changing the tone...still nothing. Then I tried turning it off and back on...still nothing. When I turned on person detection it finally chimed. But then a few days later we noticed it wasn't working again. Wifi connection is fine, really there is no reason for this intermittent behavior. I think this is just a bad product. I guess next step is to try a different doorbell cam and get rid of all of this Ezviz stuff. Too bad to since I have several other cameras from Ezviz that have been reliable, so having everything in one app was nice.

Great product
easy to set up and it supports 5G...not many doorbells can do that.

It works in the end, but it was frustrating on several fronts.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:In 2025, this thing turns out to be something akin to garbage. Does it work, well, sure I suppose if you're happy with it barely meeting that requirement. Their PC software (yes, there is software for this) is a complete joke. I wrote better than that a decade ago when I was new to programming. Their android app isn't much better, seeming to get confused on which of the settings buttons you need to change things, and not being able to decide if it needs the device password or the device verification code. You can change the verification code to whatever password you like, but then you lose access to the device for all but basic functions until you manage to get in and change it to something else again (and it'll take going back and forth between the app and pc software to do it). Mechanical chime didn't work at first, but I did some digging online and discovered that the little plastic box they have you install across the chime electrical connections must have a battery or large capacitor or something in it that takes time to charge up. A couple hours after install my mechanical chime was working again and I'd not changed a thing. I was in the app looking for where I could select to change the chime type since I have a NuTone electronic unit sitting here still new in the box and I was considering swapping them around before I'd done some digging on the problem.I'd purchased this to replace an aging Wyse video doorbell. That one still worked but the lens was scarred up and cloudy from just being outside 24 hours a day for years. I'd mostly purchased it because I had read several sites and reviews and things saying I could get RTSP video out of this to record and use on my NVR. Well, that turned into a 2-hour chore with the EZVIZ support site saying RTSP wasn't available, yet in the PC Studio software I was staring at the settings for that very thing. I finally figured it out, and after reading several different forum posts I figured out the URL to access it: rtsp://admin:<password>@<ip address>/h265/ch1/main/av_streamThat was discovered between my common sense and intuition, something the bot on the Support Site had said, and a few forum posts. You can change 'h265' to 'h264', and 'main' to 'sub' if you want or need. Many of the adjustments between main and sub can be done int he PC Studio program (not the phone app), so it ends up working great with DIY NVR's like Frigate. You'll just be pulling some hair out until you suddenly get it to work like I was.Physically the unit looks like, I like that does a ding-dong at the unit (outside the door) to let people know they pressed the button. The status light remains to be determined; jury is still out on that one. In any case, I got it working after the EZVIZ site and chat bot insisted it couldn't be done or wasn't supported. Now for the long-term test, seeing how it holds up to the elements over the next months and years.

Bought this to use the local SD card recording. Sends a call to your mobile phone when doorbell is rung. Hooks up just like a ring to your wiring. Easy operation and so far no issues. Made well.

Easy set up.
Easy to set up and Program to phone. Product manual helpful with a YouTube setup video found. Would be 5 stars if I could get home doorbell to work. Hooked up as directed but won't ring. Worked with old button. Update: user error on my part. Clicked nonchimed version. Deleted and set up correctly. Chime works. As for using embedded options, manual is useless.
