The media could not be loaded.  So I got this box for my wife for Valentine’s Day to put a bracelet and necklace in that I got her. I went to test it out first so I took a video and it worked great! Box is good quality the butterflies are really fun. I noticed when winding them up that if I didn’t wind them up a lot and that they didn’t fly as well. But when I wound them up about 40 times they took off and blasted all the box. I got five butterflies there’s room for eight so I wish it came with 8 but other than that it worked really well. I did have to tuck in the wings so they weren’t sticking out the sides but they did all fit in the box pretty well. I’ve got everything prepared to give it to my wife on Valentine’s Day I’m super excited! I think she’s gonna be surprised :-)

Looks awesome, wife still hasn't given me the birthday gift yet. Been sitting on her desk for two months.

Excited to get this for my granddaughter’s birthday. Bought her a butterfly dress to go along . Followed the instructions to the letter but the butterflies only hobbled a few inches. Three got stuck in the box. Great idea but flawed design and execution.

1) The promised "5 or 6" butterflies, were only 4.2) Also when the box opened, only 1 actually flew. The others were "trapped" by the sides not dropping down.May work better if during preparation you flatten the sides, then reform the box with scotch tape when you wind & insert the butterflies. Then put on the lid which holds the sides / shape, THEN use a razor to cut the scotch tape.Attractive box so no gift wrap is necessary, nor do I recommend gift wrap as it will likely interfere with the butterflies release.

Not sure why but when I gifted this item to my Grandmother for her birthday. She told me the butterflies did not fly. Hearing that disappointed me and it ruined the surprise of the gift given.

Liked being able to customize the box.

It works as advertised. However, the butterflies are almost too big for the dimensions of this box. I always had 1 or 2 trapped in the box that couldn’t escape. I trimmed the edges and it worked better. I think the two inner layers is just too much. One outer shell layer and one inner layer to whole the butterflies and things you want to “fall out” is really all you need. After 8-10 trails I just wound them all up and laid them out flat under the lid so they were guaranteed to fly away when I opened the box. Can out photos or stickers or something else in the layers. I imagine if the dimensions of the layers and butterflies were tweaked this might work better. I’d give more of a 4.5 rating. Almost perfect.

Very disappointed because the directions don't clearly tell you to open all the sides all the way out before placing the butterflies in. So, when my mother opened it just a few flew out the rest were just stuck. Great gift idea!!! She loved the concept but it was a bummer not seeing all the butterflies flying out when she opened it.
