Recommended by our veterinarian
Expensive but it came highly recommended by our dachshund’s veterinarian for her genetic skeletal issues. We originally used the Assisi loop but, unfortunately, that product does not have the ability to replace the battery. We are hopeful by using this long term, it will slow down her skeletal deterioration and will keep her feeling good and active. Easy to use as we position the pad on our legs, settle her in and cover her up. She relaxes and often dozes off.

Con job
I don't know the effectiveness of the Assisi loop, but I do know this is a bait-and-switch type of thing. My loop stopped working so I called them and was told the battery had died so I needed a new loop. Why do I need a new loop if it's just the battery that died? I decided to use my electrical skills to take it apart and replace the battery. I found the original battery still had charge, and that a new battery made no difference. It seems like this product is programmed to last only a few times, so they can make more money from you by being forced to buy a new loop. It's the equivalent of your TV remote only lasting a few times and you don't have the ability to change the battery.

Effective product, fast delivery, but rather hard
Sassy got to try this at physical therapy and loved it, so I bought one. The large one the vet had was cushy. The small one for home was not cushy *at all*. The cover was very loose on the unit, as if a pad was missing, but no pad was listed among the parts. No mention of an optional pad in instructions, on Amazon, or the Assisi (Zomedica) web site. Cushiness is important as this is a treatment for pets in pain! I had a pad that fit, and slipped it inside the cover. The unit charged quickly. Sassy loved it and stayed put for her treatment. After I stopped snapping pix, she even dozed off.Net, very happy with the benefit and quick delivery (5 stars). Would prefer that the lounge itself was more comfortable (-1 star).

Actually works!
Have been using the assisi loop for 6 years and the loop lounge for the last two years. My dog was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at age 3 and was prescribed nsaids which would have damaged her body for the rest of her life, found this online and gave it a try... it was not a magical right away fix it took time but each day she seemed to move about a little bit better and more comfortably she now is 9 and plays hard-core everyday, have not seen her limp since maybe 5 months after her diagnosis even to this day, apart from when she tore her acl, she went through the tplo surgery and we used the loop in conjunction with the prescribed after surgery medication and her surgeon who specializes in tplo surgery said "whatever your doing keep doing it, I have never seen a dog recover so quickly from this surgery" I am amazed by this product, it has saved my dogs life and more importantly given her the best quality of life I am very thankful to whomever created this product my dog is thriving now

Can't replace the battery
Shame on assisi for not designing to replace the battery when it wears out. They want you to buy a whole new controller for $600 when all you need is a new battery. After spending almost $2000 for the unit I expect to be able to change out the battery.

Dimensions are incorrect
It’s too small for a large dog. The description says it’s 36 inches long and 6 inches high. It’s only 32 inches long and 3 inches high. I wish I had bought the slim so that at least his head wouldn’t be hanging off. It looks like he needs a pillow. Debating on exchanging it for the slim since my other 3 dogs are bigger than the husky.
