KX Matrikx 32-250-125-975 Chlorine Taste and Odor Filter Cartridge, 10-Inch

I use these in my reverse-osmosis system as a pre and post filter. These do a good job of removing the chlorine taste and smell and extend the life of the membrane. I change these genuine Matrikz filters annually with zero problems over many years. Recommended. ***UPDATE*** The filters I received are genuine Matrikx filters with the correct packaging and the Matrikz name embossed onto the plastic filter housing.

I had a older system (2001) and was purchasing these from the retail store locally. I was unsure if they required a certain type, or if any 5 micron would work. I purchased these, and they fit and work perfect. They are much more reasonably priced and work great Water tastes great. I am very happy. I will be purchasing them again.

These are no longer made in the US but in India. Wish someone knowledgeable enough can do a filtration comparison.Two things that are different in all the new KX Matrix filters:1) The end rubber piece is loosely held. Can fall off, dislocate during installation (old ones are glued onto the end capa)2) The end caps and rubber piece have some manufacturing dusts. Slight whitish powder on the rubber piece and black dusts in the inside of the colored end capsJust cosmetics though different from before (not just this filter but others I brought now as well - so it is consistent). Hope this does not translate to filter quality.Btw I think the company should have made better announcement of manufacturing location changes. During the initial change for a year or so many wondered if what they got were fakes. Now on their website they no longer brag about being made in the US.

I've used these filters in my RO system. The RO system manufacturer recommends this filter - how ever they private label this filter under their own name. I cross referenced and found these on Amazon and are saving some $$$. American made - be careful for inferior Chinese made filters. If you care enough to filter your water - know what you are getting.

Wasn't sure if this would fit my counter top water filter but it fit perfect and works great. No chlorine smell or taste. Would definitely repurchase. Made in the USA

City water has a strong chlorine taste to me. This filter in my RO unit takes it away completely. Would recommend

the cartridge is bad.

I been using this filter for about 6 weeks... And does its job just fine but does s end to be holding up to the task. I bought it to use with as a whole house filter but water pressure is already being affected
