Makes you think! A good adult family game.
I received this as a gift and played with my adult children that holiday. It was a good mental exercise to come up with uses for things; you will be surprised at the creativity in your family or friends! There are enough cards to be able to play many times without repeating often.

Cultivate creativity
Great game for people of all ages to play. I specifically purchased it so my pre-literate daughter could play a game that doesn't take literacy skills. She loves it, my mother loves it, my husband and I love it. It's a great game to cultivate creative thinking and reasoning.

Make Up Your Own Rules - Used for UX Design Groups Idea Generation
Cute illustrated deck of a nice range of ordinary objects. I used this for a UX college class to prompt creative thinking and made up my own rules. Divided students into groups of four. Had each group pick out 2 cards from the deck blindly. If they didn't like the cards they first picked, they could re-pick one more time. For instance, if you drew Notebook card and Pen card that wouldn't be the best combo as they are too predictable. Then take 3-4 minutes to brainstorm the best ideas on how to combine, repurpose or inspire a new product from the two items selected. At the end of 4 minutes, have the group announce the winner idea. For instance, students had a sword and a mirror and decided a mirror could be the knurl of the sword and it would be perfect for Disney princesses/sword fighters. Another one was combine a Roomba vacumn cleaner with a traveling potted plant on top ( the Vacumn and Vase cards). While I read the given instructions, I felt the subtleties between random dice throws to choose Disrupt, or Transform or etc, approaches weren't significant enough to follow along with the constraints. The graphic design on the instructions could be improved for readability - ( hey, it is a design class we notice these things). While you could do this same exercise just from a random selection of words, the selection of curated objects is thoughtful and the cuteness of the artwork provides just enough detail but not too specific to help add to a happy informality. Nicely packaged and printed sturdy box. The timer was unnecessary as we all have smart phone timers, but not a bad visual aid to have for representing how much time is left. The timer alongside the notepad and die included makes this more a well rounded presentable kit.

A Must for Every High School Student in this Country
This game is a favorite of my students. The game encourages critical thinking and challenges the imagination. The students really enjoy the quick pace and don't even realize that they are brushing up on their presentation and marketing skills. It also encourages entrepreneurial thought because of the design process and determining the value of the new design they develop with each round.

Anyone can play, but if you are a designer ...
Anyone can play, but if you are a designer or in the innovation department, this is a game to flex your ideation muscles. I've been playing this game since 2013 and it encourages you to push outside the box. One tip: if you are the judge... push people towards the more "outrageous" ideas rather than playing it safe.

An Innovative creative game ---- Important and Fun
Funnybone Toys / Disruptus - The Game Designed to Open Every MindBought this a few weeks ago and have been having fun playing with the family and exercising our creative muscles. Just read a story in coolhunting.com about DISRUPTUS and now I want to bring it the office to kick off brainstorming sessions! Love the design also. Looks good with my Knoll chairs.

Great game! We've played with adults and our 4 ...
Great game! We've played with adults and our 4 & 8 year old love it. We've played it with teenagers too!. It encourages everyone to think differently. It's not overly competative, but has fun "judging" to it.

Say what?
the pictures on the cards are ok... some are greyish color and unrecognizable. It makes playing the game very hard. Has great potential, but the pictures on the cards are VERY hard to understand. Some of the cards, we have no idea of what is being pictured.
