Giant World Map Wall Mural - Dry Erase Surface

I read all the reviews before I purchased this giant world map. I was not personally comfortable installing it so I hired someone to do it. When that person bailed on me, my Mom and I grew some courage and decided to install it ourselves. I watched a few youtube videos on how to install wall paper. I followed the instructions that came with the map, which were rolled into the map itself. I decided to let the glue stay for about 1hr instead of recommended 30min. I did let each panel sit with glue on it for 10min as recommended. Panels did not expand much even with a 10min wait. First panel took a while to position and each panel after that was easier and easier to install. By the time we came to the last panel, Mom and I were pros! Process from start to finish took us 5.5hrs. Installation requires a two person crew. You will need to visit the local hardware store for the tools and make sure you have lots of clean rags for whipping off excess glue. I did not cut the map to the size of the wall before hanging. I cur the corners after the map dried out. If I ever do this again, i would cut to size before hanging. Map covered the entire wall and it looks amazing. Everyone that walks into this room is has a "wow" expression on their face and immediately is drawn to the map. Through out this process I contacted the sellers and received prompt response. I am very happy with this purchase and quality of the product.

Amazing quality, easy to clean, was a little tricky to attach to wall as it come in multiple pieces. Great details.

So you want to live your life like a pintrest star? This wall map will get your at least 25% there. You need to impress all of the other mom's in the playgroup? This map is your ticket. As you can imagine putting this thing up is a bit of a pain, but as my wife keeps telling me "happy wife, happy life".

This map is intriguing to everyone who walks in the door! Read directions carefully. Make you you have time and space to install correctly! What you see in pic is 3-4 inches cut off of the top and about a foot off of the bottom. I treasure it! I bought the same map in 2002, and it is still on the wall in another classroom! P.S. This map is updated to include South Sudan, too!

I get so many "Wow's" when people walk into my office. It shipped on time. For the younger generations who does not use wallpaper: The directions say to "book" it, and it's super important when a panel is wet and you're putting it on the wall to take a long heavy object and smooth it out completely, otherwise you'll get bubbles. It's a lot easier with two people, but can be done with one person, although not recommended. It's huge and fun!

Product not as described. Needed to apply as one would wall paper. This certainly was not as advertised. Inconvenient to assemble. The idea is great for a children's playroom but needs a backing to easily hang. We returned the item. The pins provided were delivered to us in the same box as the map. To return we were required to mail separately, resulting in a cost of $5 for an item that cost less than $4. We kept the pins!

This map is amazing! I put it up in my Geography classroom and it is incredible as a teaching tool AND is beautiful on the wall. The Mercator projection is disappointing due to distortion but everything else is accurate. Installation REQUIRES at least two people, the more the better, and if you give the glue/paste plenty of time to thicken it makes it easier. Expect to destroy a couple paint brushes and about 2-3 hours. It is absolutely not reusable, you have one shot.
