CMON Lorenzo Il Magnifico

I play a lot of board games of all different kinds. I am always looking at new games, and there was a board game recommender website thing that I looked at. It asks what your three favorite games are, and when I answered that, it recommended Lorenzo il Magnifico. I looked into Lorenzo and it seemed interesting, I put in my next three favorite games into the recommender and it recommended Lorenzo again! I am not one to buy games I haven't played, but I decided to take a chance on this one. Am I ever glad that I did! This has been my most played game since I got it (and I play A LOT of games). A lot of decisions to make (what cards to buy, what resources to get, do I worry about getting excommunicated, do I really need servants this round). A lot of fun! If I was a board game recommender website thing, I would probably recommend this for you too!

Has good replay value. Worker placement is probably my favorite game mechanism. On top 100 of BGG. Nice set up for 2 player game. 3.28 rating for complexity (out of 5.0 points). Arrived in perfect condition. Consider Targi (2 player, I LOVE this game ), Everdell, Lords of Waterdeep, Agricola, Kingsburg 2nd edition, Keyflower, Le Havre, Caverna, Marco Polo, and any Western Kingdom trilogy(all three are winners) board games for worker placement mechanism.

This is a good game (although not the easiest to teach, and it can be a bit brutal) but the quality could have been better. The meeples aren't quite uniformly colored and the cards and tokens leave a bit to be desired. But the gameplay is fun!

Bought this for my partner for his birthday. I had to send the first one back because box was damaged but the replacement came right away.We are big board gamers with a lot of games.This is a fun euro style strategy game that has some similarities to Grand Austria Hotel, one of my favorite games. A mix of worker placement, dice rolling, multi-use cards and resource management. It’s fun and easy to get to the table.We play this mostly at 2 players but have played at 4 too. Would definitely recommend.The rulebook is good. You can learn the basic game and get going after setting up pretty fast.I always recommend watching how-to-play videos if you seem confused by the rulebook. Sometimes they just make it seem more confusing than it is.The only negative I would say about the rulebook is that it is separated into sections by the main game and each expansion.This is only an issue when you start playing the game and need to look up what certain cards do. Instead of the card explanations being in one section, you have to flip around to the different sections. However, once you’re familiar with the iconography then you’ll be fine.We ended up using the BGG app for the card reference so we could just type in the card number and it pops right up. This way we didn’t have to pass the rulebook back and forth.

It took me a while to learn but I found this to be a fun and thinky worker placement game. There's lots of paths to victory and you'll end up dipping into each at least a little bit.

Lorenzo is a great game. I played it for free on Yucata.de and it holds up even after 20+ online plays. I am pretty sure my gaming group will love it. The wife really likes it too. There is a lot going on in the game but its plays smoothly.

Compré este juego por 28 usd, realmente una ganga. Un euro de peso medio muy disfrutable. La calidad de los componentes es buena. La mecánica principal es de colocación de trabajadores (dados con iguales valores para todos los jugadores). Creo que su rango de jugadores ideal está entre los 3 y 4 jugadores, sin embargo, también disfruto jugarlo a dos. Cuanto mayor es el número de jugadores mayor es la posibilidad de bloqueos y más apretado se siente el juego. La escuela italiana de diseño lo ha vuelto hacer. Gran juego!
