This knife is the ultimate in simplicity: just a small piece or Japanese steel beveled into a wedge to make it sharp, wrapped in a piece of brass. The brass is held on by a little crimp that adds a very small bit of extra width, but its still very thin--about a 1 mm--yet quite sturdy.
